What a day

March 4th, 2008 at 04:10 am

I have not been blogging like I use to but I have got to start back again or other wards I will be right back in debt. First I want to want you this will be a long blog because so much has happen.
Well I had a great day today until I went to lunch, my mom called me to tell me that the doctor told her they may have to amputate her toe. For months she has been complaining that it was bothering her and I have been trying to get her to switch doctor in order to get a second opinion because he was unable to find anything wrong well he finally decided to do an MRI which found some sort of infection. Well I immediately came home today I know I may have should have stayed at work but I felt like I needed to be with her because she was really upset. I did however, set up an appointment with another doctor in which she still doesn’t want to go because now her other doctor wants to take an MRI of her leg as well. Just keep us in your prayers and that maybe some sort of antibiotic will help
Next I don't know if you heard about the shooting in FL, where this idiot opened fire in a Wendy's, well that was near my job and an area that I travel to once in a while. Lord what is going on
It is sad that some one lost their life but I am also glad that not more people were fatally injured
Furthermore, I can not understand my auto loan. I have to call BoA because you would think that since the principal has decreased wouldn't the amount applied to the interest do the same? It seems like it is higher.
WIth everything going on I was able to finally add to my challenge the $26 from the surveys giving me a new total of $7474.22

    Amber,

I'm sorry to hear about your moms toe. I hope that she'll be able to get on antibiotics and clear up the infection without having to lose it.

I did hear about the FL Wendy's shooting. It's so sad that some people feel that such violence is the answer.

I really hope things work out well for your mom!

And about BofA, stay on top of that. They do make mistakes. Today I received my statement from them and caught an erroneous bank charge. Called them and got it reversed (had to hold 10 minutes, but fortunately got a sharp and very helpful customer service rep).

Is your mom diabetic? And yes I heard about the shooting this morning, very sorry. My peaceful little world was effected a couple of weeks back when the dog park where I walk my dogs every day had a flasher who got arrested. I went right out and got pepper spray, but I am still uncomfortable walking the wooded trails. Much less violent than your situation, but still... makes one think.

I had actually bought the pepper spray because there had been a few days before a dog attack at a local beach and I was afraid for my little terriers. Now I carry the spray for two purposes.

Always get a second opinion. I know this example is not on a par with your mom's situation, but a family member has a cat with a badly infected leg. A vet treated it for months and couldn't heal it. He was going to amputate the entire leg. I told her to get a second opinion, and she took it to another vet. Long story, short: the cat has all four legs, and is very healthy.

I hope that all turns out well with your Mom. I also, recently had a scare with my Mom. She has glaucoma and the pressure built up in the eyes, she hemmoraged in the eye and had horrible headaches. The doctors gravest outcome was that he might have to surgically remove both eyes. Funny thing is that she has been on drops and I never liked the fact that my Mom's operation in the last year was such a flop. Now, the medication seems to be helping her and yes she has an infection there. My brother was going to take her for a second opinion. ALWAYS get a second opinion.

About the shooting, I just held my breath because my brother works in West Palm Beach as well and he buys Wendy's hamburgers for my Mom. We definitely have some crazy's out there.

Homebody she is not diabetic but was told last week to watch her sugar intake because she was now border line and be careful in those wooded areas, make sure you tell some where you are going and try to go with a group if you can
Nance thanks, I am definately having her to get a second opinion but it is hard. Seniors especially my mom thinks that doctors are God Aleta, my prayers are with you and your mom
thanks everyone for the ell wishes

How crazy for you my friend! Good luck. Dealing with aging parents is no picnic, but they took such good care of us, we just have to return the favor! Smile I hope everything works out!
