Huge mistake

Well I did some shopping Frown and spent $250 on a handbag that I will be returning tomorrow. I knew then when I was buying the bag I could not afford it but I wanted it and used my cc. What in the world was I thinking? I bought a shirt and a pair of sneaks that I really did not need but wanted. It's tough but I have to hang in there because I want a house and a $250 handbag I can't live in

    The good news is that your realized the error of your ways in time to undo the damage. I agree that a $250 purse sabbotages a dream of a home.

    just think, two or three years ago you would not have realised your mistake. be proud of your achievements, even if you have to take one step back every time you take two steps forward... Wink

    Good for you! That handbag will eventually end up in a landfill somewhere when you're living in your house.

    You'll feel much better once you return the handbag. And each time you succeed in withstanding temptations like that, it'll make it easier to do so in the future.

    I once put a pair of shoes I did not need in the cart and continued shopping (Wal-Mart) for 30 minutes before ADMITTING to myself it was greed instead of need. I put it back, but I still admire the shoes. Oh well,it was "mine" for 30 minutes.

    Don't be too hard on yoursef sunshine. We all slip up. The important thing is that you realize that for you, a house is more inportant that a new handbag, and you are going to do what you need to do to make the house a reality.
