Finally getting rid of this tooth

Well I went to the oral surgeon and he will extract and place some packing in for the implant on Friday, today was a no charge thank goodness. I must say since I have been icing this tooth and started a different antibiotic I am feeling much better; so I am going to try and go in tomorrow, hopefully I will as good as I am feeling now. It is going to cost me $410 so I went ahead and paid it that way Friday I am in and out
Thank goodness for my EF because Murphy has been bugging me lately

DD just had two removed by the oral surgeon and they sure know how to take care of you! Hope you are feeling mucho better really soon!

I hope you feel better! Remember not to eat anything spicy or drink from a straw to avoid post-op pain.

Hey, just discovered your blog and I feel your pain! I went to the dentist with a toothache today and he wanted to extract it right away. This is the first time I've been to his office though, so I am trying anti-biotics/pain meds for now. What did they say they will do after? Dental implant? Bridge? They told me an implant would likely be $3000 and insurance probably wouldn't cover any. =/

I'm glad you are finally going to get this taken care of for good, Amber. Just like the previous poster said, no drinking thru a straw, no spitting, and no smoking to avoid dry socket - very painful! Feel better and take care of yourself.

Thanks for the reminder about the straw I totally forgot all about that and was think I should buy some to drink out of since I won't be able to eat. Jan thanks for the positive feedback on the oral surgeon, I was a little nervous. But thank goodness it will finally be taken care of
