Determined

January 21st, 2009 at 08:10 pm

I am really committed to brown bagging my lunch and having breakfast at home. Today I just did not feel like packing lunch and thought hmmmm I do not have anything to pack for lunch. Then I thought you have to be kidding me
I thought you have every thing there is to make a sald, plus I took a grapefruit as well as other fruits and snacks
Long story short I stuck to my guns and had breakfast and lunch at home Big Grin No need in wasteful spending

Nicely done! I too feel a certain triumph when I bring something to work that I'm not thrilled about, because once I eat it I'm glad I didn't spend money on lunch that I could be using for better, funner things. Smile

Good Job! Coming up with reasons why you need to divert from your plan is easy...ignoring those reasons is the hard part!!!

Way to go Amber! The longer you bring your own lunch, the more you'll get used to it.

Good job! I try to keep a can or two of soup that my husband likes that he can grab if he's running late to work or if we didn't have any leftovers from the night before (his lunch usually are the leftovers). It's helpful and since I get it on sale, I can usually get the Campbell's Chunky soup for $1.25 or so, not too bad for a lunch.

yeah i keep a stock of a brand of two minute noodles called mi goreng that BF likes. he takes a pack of them and a tin of tuna if he is running late. it costs him about $1.45 for his whole lunch, much better than bought!
