$4

January 6th, 2012 at 03:42 pm

Okay I made breakfast and lunch so I am adding $4 to my challenge/cc. I owe about $257 on this cc and can't wait to pay it off. It's like a little bug flying around while I'm trying to relax. Ughh I wish I had $257 I'd knock it right on out

    Hi Amber,
Just curious -- where are you getting the $4 from that you're "adding" to the challenge? It must be coming from somewhere, so do you have more money in that somewhere? If so, why wait for a reason to add it to the challenge -- why not just put it toward the debt that's bugging you?

Not long until you knock that $257 right out with the rate you are going!

Good idea Ceejay. See I get paid twice a month, once I pay my bills and set a little something aside for emergencies what ever is left is my gas, grocery, personsal stuff etc. and it's really not that much, this $ has to last me at times a little over 2 weeks. So for me I add a little at a tone to my challenge, this way I am pacing myself, and the baby steps feel as though i am accomplishing something. Then what's ever is left by my next pay check, I split between my EF /CC debt

Oh, I get it! That makes sense to keep the money around--I too wait to set up my extra debt repayment until I'm sure I won't need the money for something else that month.

Your debt will be going away soon enough regardless of how you do it! Smile
