Down 4lbs

June 13th, 2015 at 09:32 am

Weighed in at my Weight Watchers meeting, and I'm down 4lbs 😃
Because I'm down four pounds I added $2 to my 52 Week/$20 Challenge fund and $2 to my CC debt (4lb = $4). I'm super excited.

Yesterday marked 6 years that I've been with the BF, we decided not to spend any money on gifts and just go out for dinner. Made sense to me.

Honestly on a different note, I am thinking about taking the money out of my challenge fund ($283.50) to pay off CC3. I'm ready to start tackling CC4, I think I'm getting impatient. It's funny until I started my debt snowball the debt bothered me but not like now. It's like I'm on a high, and I'm trying to reach the euphoria, that feeling you get when you're debt free. 😃

The only hesitation I'd have with that is, I feel like you've gotten into and out of CC debt a few times since you've been on there. If there's a pattern like that for you, you may not want to sacrifice your savings paying off debt that you'll just run up again.

I'm not judging, it happens to the best of us! But I just wonder if you should make sure you hang on to your saved-up money.

Good progress on weight watchers! I wondered if you already have an Emergency Fund. It's wonderful to see you so motivated to bring down CC # 3, I'm so delighted with your progress. Perhaps you can squeeze a few dollars from other budget categories to add to the snowball. Since you will not be buying DBF an anniversary gift...could that sum help melt debt?

Ceejay, you're absolutely correct, I think I should hold off with touching those funds. snafu, didn't cross my mind to use the funds saved to pay down the debt, since no gift was bought. Hmmm I normally spend about $100, I'll take that and pay down the CC.

Thanks for the tips, I post here because I know I'll get the best advice without being judge 😉
