Possible New Job

April 22nd, 2018 at 02:54 am

As you all know, my job is very stressful. I have the opportunity to leave, but it's basically the same distance (30 miles each way) and terrible health insurance ($5k deductible or $2500).

Long story short I'm struggling with what to do. The new position would be a mangers role and less people to deal with but the pay sucks. It's a nonprofit. I asked the hiring manager if they'd consider increasing the salary and she stated after 90 days but I don't know. I'm like I may as well
stay where I have some flexibility

How much of a pay cut? It's generally not a good idea to take a pay cut when one is in debt. You want to be increasing your income. I understand the desire to have less stress though.

I think you know you shouldn’t to do it. The only positive is less people to manage. That’s not valid reason to take this job.
As for a raise, it’s a non-profit, translation don’t expect much. Use your faith to help you during your challenges at work.

Job changes are supposed to be for the better; this one doesn't sound any better. I'd keep looking until you find a better opportunity.

Nonprofits don't increase salaries very readily. So you wouldn't be making the change for the money. However, nonprofits can also be more flexible and better work environments. (That said, it all depends on the people.) I say go with your gut on this one.

Good Friday Greetings 2019 is the day we beat Jesus Christ who is building this container on the cross for our transgression, as we likely perceive that He is our Savior, who repays us with our wrongdoing. She was pregnant with her mom, Mary's stomach, and afterward went to John for the purification. He started with the assurance of uses on the fields.
