Prayers Needed, 12/31 is the Date

November 17th, 2018 at 07:06 pm

Today is the day. I spoke with a few friends and I’m giving the SO until 12/31 to move. I originally had a later date. I’m also nervous so I need all the prayers I can get. I’m nervous as hell but I know it needs to be done. Someone posted on my previous post to give a date, so the date as been set

I’ll be applying to both Aldi and Walmart for a cashier job, fingers crossed.

What you are doing is in both of your best interests. He will never grow up and assume responsibility for his life until he is forced to. You deserve a better partner.

Make sure you give him notice in writing as others have suggested. You don't want him in denial about the finality of your decision.

I'm pretty sure with your skills you can find a better weekend job than supermarket cashier. Network through your contacts, letting them know you are looking for something on weekends, possibly even work you can do at home. In the current full employment environment, you should find an employer who needs your skills and is willing to work with your schedule.

Good luck, hon. It is for the best, but I know how scary making these big life decisions can be.

I am so sorry you have to make such an ultimatum, but as anotherreader said, it is in both of your best interests. You have certainly been with him through thick and thin. I hope it is an amicable split and that he learns something from the experience. My thoughts will be with you.

Congratulations on making the right move.
I can not tell you how many people that will not make the move and instead simply hope their SO will change their ways. Meanwhile carrying the whole load and becoming more and more resentful.
I can attest that when you have a true partner it is the best do not settle for less.

Good luck, hoping that SO will be mature about it, and things will flow as smoothly as possible.
