Ugghhhh!!!!

Okay last month I used my ING account to pay my cable bill. Well I received a check payable to the cable company with my address listed as the company's address, so I thought the check was a fraud and trashed it. Long story short, the cable bill was not paid, ING will not re-issue the check until 90 days has past, even though I advised them I trashed the check Frown and I do not have an extra $114 laying around.

This really suck!

Next, I am tired of living at home. My mom, likes to make it known its her house when its convenient. For example, the sink is leaking and needs to be fix so its our house. I want to make some changes so its her house. Ughhhh, I hate the situation that I am in

Oh well

    Can you send the cable company a second check? You know the first one will not clear. Is it a matter of being late now? If you call them and tell them what happened, maybe they will waive any late fee?

    I love my mom, but would find living with her very trying.

    Ohhh, they take the money out when they send the check, not when it clears. Got it.

    We ran into a similar problem with ING. You just don't think about something like this happening. My DH (stupidly) send a substantial amount of money to his brother for a "business opportunity". It was his own personal money so I had no say in this. Brother decided not to pursue the opportunity and told DH he would destroy the check. DH had to wait out the 90 days to get his money back! On the bright side, it was a learning experience for him. ING is convenient most of the time, but it's not as easy as crossing out a check in your checkbook. Frown
