First Friday was payday and I was able to sock away the following:
$25 IRA
$400 to EF ($20 was saved on the DirecTV bill for referring a friend)
$50 towards the challenge
On a different note, my mom is not speaking to me because I told my sister what her in-laws said. My mom who asked me not to say anything was very upset but I was compelled to let my sister know, besides anything I tell her she repeats. Anyhow she (my sister) moved into her apartment which I told her to get a two bedroom and she ended up with a 3 so that her loser son can move in, well her and my BIL are now separated and her son is no longer living with her. He cussed her so badly and threaten to kill her (I must say that this is the second time he has done this) He is such a loser; he won't work and is on probation for theft. You would think that she would stop getting him out of trouble but that is definitely not an option. Now she is stuck with this three bedroom apartment that she can not afford and still owes me $40 that I can kiss good bye. I said to her since you haven't been in the place for a week, speak with the leasing office and try to get a smaller place; her response "no I like it here" I know she is holding on just in case my nephew needs a place to stay. I am sorry I love him but he would not be living with me not after threatening me twice. There are too many kids who actually follow through with their threats. Now her second son the one who was diagnosed with schizophrenia is practically living with this girl and her mother who wants him to marry this girl so that she can get her papers (green card or visa, I don't know) he has stopped taking his meds and I have tried as well as my sister to tell him to come from over there, and go home but a hard head makes a soft you know what. He too is no longer working thanks to his loser brother (he actually got him a job where he was working) who cussed out the manager . Unbelievable

I just purchased this new laptop and now I can not log onto the internet I have to check all my emails at work which sucks. Took it into to Bestbuy whose Geeksqaud has no clue. I told the guy it was the drivers and I was afraid to delete anything but he wanted to do it his own way cost me $53 and they still have it, he told me to give him 30 minutes (yeah right). Thank goodness it is still under the manufacture's 30 day warranty. Can you believe he wanted me to take it home, what and it is still covered and when I still can't connect pay you $100, I don't think so
I did not eat out today so I added $4 to my EF and another $35 because I washed and colored my own hair. Not sure what the balance is but will double check later
On a different note I added $3 to my challenge from Pinecone
New total $4404.42
Oops I forgot I got a "B" in that marketing class, thank goodness. It was going to be the death of me

Ok I am laying down watching TV and I hear click/pop. Remember the $1250 (total when completed will be $2500) that I spent on my bridge? Well the bridge fell out arrrrrrrrrgh. Thank God it is not broken and I am going to the dentist in the morning and I better not be charged because I told him on Thursday that it felt like a suction when I ate and he was to put in some type of a packing on Saturday which he should have done anyway. I am sure the pulling I was experiencing contributed to it coming out
On a different note, I am sure I have complained about my mom and money before. If you have a nickel she wants half and it drives me crazy. I received $43.91 yesterday from the phone company and my mom and her friend was here when I opened the mail and what does she say to me "you better give me that check" I was so PO'd I simply responded this is gas for my car. I hate when she does things like that it drives me crazy and a another bad habit that she has is constantly eating my lunch or dinner; not because she is hungry which wouldn’t bother me but just because. I can have a half of a sandwich left from lunch that I am having for dinner and starving and she’ll just finish her dinner and still want half of that. It drives me nuts, I finally said something like I would like to eat in peace some times and now she sits and stares at me while I am at the table. I hate the begging of it, especially since she doesn’t need to. I know it may seem selfish but it drives me crazy and she is getting worst or maybe I am because now at times (a lot lately) I would simply stay in my car and eat or go by my dad’s
Speaking of dad I filled out his stimulus paper work with the wrong SSN (first 3 digits) I hope it doesn’t screw up his chances for a refund
In regards to my sister my nephew said he thought she went to the hair salon yesterday. WHAT! You are in the process of losing your house and you are at the hairdressers? Unbelievable. My nephew wasn’t sure but I am almost positive she was. I gave her a $100 yesterday because I had some things in her garage that she took to the storage and I am sure she used this for her trip to the salon, unbelievable
But in the end I added the $43.91 t my challenge

I spent $4.98 on my God daughter’s birthday gifts. Her birthday is the end of the month and thank goodness Kohls sent out two $10 GC if you spent $10. Well yesterday I went in and the items came to $13.98 ( I did not realize that the shorts were eight dollars) but oh well and today I went in a found a really cute dress for $11 so $1 and some change was spent and I am done, unless I get another.
Next I ordered Directv for my dad because my brother is moving in and would like it, I had a refer a friend coupon and since I referred him I will save $10 a month on my bill for five months and my dad will save the same . God forbid if they gave you the $50 at once but oh well. I have to remember to add the $10 to my challenge every month
I did go to McDonald's today and spent $3.31 so $3 was added to my EF plus the $20 saved with the GC

Added my weekly deposit of $25 to the challenge, so my new total is $5876.51. I also went to Macy's today to pay a $20.21 CC bill. Thank goodness I caught it because I would have ben hit with a late fee after today. I never use this card (I guess I did) I usually use the BoA CC because I get points. Maybe I pulled this one out by mistake.
Oh I forgot to post the other day I went to the dentist and the tooth that was extraced is healing nicely, but the tooth that I needed a bridge on fell out. All I could do was laugh, at least I was at the dentist. So I use the CC and paid half for the bridge which is more than the implant ($1250 charged on the CC)
This was a short pay period week but the next time around I'll pay half on the CC since I added the new laptop as well

I went into my part time job yesterday after having two weeks off. I was in such a good mood and then an incident occurred with a resident who is not allowed in the main building. The security guard basically told me to mind my own business well I am on final and written warning so I contacted my boss and guess what she did not want me to write the notes in the log (mind you it is company policy to do so) but to write a report and slip it under her door. Well I did that in addition to sending her a email so that I can have proof of what took place and I also noted on the note "per your request” so that there is no misunderstanding in the future; since there always is
On a different note my mom who if you have a nickel wants at least half of that made me so mad last night when I came home. One of the resident who passed away thought enough of me to leave me some perfume and a beautiful handkerchief and when I said to her Mrs. H left me something she says I hope it is money. I was so upset...it was more less the way she said it. Like it didn't matter what she left if it wasn't money
As far as the challenge goes $14.29 ws added in interest yesterday so my new total $5851.51

First my co-worker comes up to me and ask if I would like to order lunch and I assume he is paying since he owes me $10. Anyhow we order and guess what? I paid $10 for my lunch. I actually paid about $2 more than I should have because he did not have enough arrrrrrrrrrrgh. I was so upset, because I had packed my lunch and now I was short $10 for my monthly budget for dining out, plus it wasn't that great.
Next my computer finally gave out so I bought a new one for $900 returned it for a cheaper one which I really don't care for but it saved me about $300 and it gets the job done. But now my file for MS Money which I backed up on my new hard drive won't open so I will have to re-add all the data on this computer. At least my school stuff was saved and uploaded
Next I go to the dentist and the extraction is healing very well (getting an implant) But when I went to get the impression for my bridge on the other tooth (which I was having problems with, that is why I switch dentist) the tooth fell out. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. It's been one thing after another.
On a different note, I saw on freecycle that a perfectly good washer and dryer was being given away so I responded, hope I am the first. I am starting to look for things that I will need for my new house.
I haven’t bought breakfast for the last two days so $2 went to my challenge and $2 went to the EF
New total for the challenge: $5837.22

I am so afraid of change and I think that is what holds me back. I have had the loan papers now to refiance my car for a possible better rate and have yet to fill them out and I finally went in to the office today and did it. The loan officer stated that once they are able to verify my employment I wll then be contacted regarding the loan status. My rate is very high and I have since cleaned up my credit paid off a ton of things and always paid my current loan on time and well over the amount due. So keep your fingers crossed.
I also cancelled my land line which I have been holding off on for a while, why I still don't know so that extra $40 saved will be going to my challenge every month. Next I am going to drop off the paper work for the grant. I have filled them out but have been so afraid to drop them off. Why? Change...I really need to over come that fear.
Today was a no spend day thus far but the day has not ended as of yet so I will wait to add my $2 but I will add $2 to the challenge and $2 to the EF for preparing my breakfast

Just wanted to wish every one a happy and safe Memorial Day. I am praying for those of you whose spouses/love ones are serving all over the world. It is definately appreciated
On a different note I am going to see Mr. H today since I did not work this weekend, he is the sweetest old guy I know, it's like having a grandfather.
I washed and colored my own hair today so on Friday when payday rolls around I will add the money saved($50) to my challenge. However, I am adding $2 to the EF and $2 to the challenge because I made breakfast this morning and I usually spend about $3.71 buying breakfast
New total for the challenge $5826.38 and EF $1668.35

Used a coupon yesterday at Publix and saved $1 on plastic cups so I am adding this amount to my challenge. On a different note my laptop is giving me problems; I think there is a shortage so I am taking it in to be service next week. In the mean time I am going to buy a passport to back up all my files and free up space, I think that is the best thing, the funds will come from my misc. account since I am really not saving for anything in particular and I have $447 in that account. But I will use the BoA card in order to get the points and then pay the bill once I get home
As far as the tooth goes, looks like I am pain free I am still swollen but experiencing little or no pain.
Tuesday I am off and will finally drop off the paper work for the grant for the new home. I filled it out just never dropped it off, I am a little nervous...more like scared. Of what I do not know, I lived on my own before with no problems and then I wasn't as conscious as I am now about money
New total for the challenge $5824.38

I have not been adding to the challenge like I should so I added $70 today. The reason, for two weeks I have not gone to the hairdresser saving $35 for each week. I have been eating out a lot though since I had the tooth ache, I was just not in the mood; but now that things seems to be getting better since I had the extraction I can go back to making dinner/breakfast
so new total for the challenge $5823.38

I woke up yesterday with the worst tooth ache, I was dying over here. Anyhow I had cancelled my appointment because I was feeling better earlier in the day, luckily I was able to reach the dentist who called me in an antibiotic. When I asked if he would and gave him the number to Walgreens he says to me why don't you go to Publix it's free. Because I did not have the number he looked it up for me and called it in, when I went to pick it up it was free, saving me a $15 co-pay How nice. I woke up this morning and I am a little sore, but I am feeling better. I did not go into work today because if this flares up again I want to be able to go straight to the dentist, it's hard to leave once you are at work. Seems as though the antibiotic is working, wish I had known before I spent $185 the other day
On a different note, today was payday so I checked my balance and found a nice little bonus which I immediately added to my EF
I paid bills today, paid my cc in which I charged my tuition but I still owe about $100 on it. I use it to accumulate points and since I have been under the weather I have not entered all my transactions, must do that today in order to stay cc debt free. I paid the cable and phone bill added $50 to my challenge and paid the extra $50 that I am no longer adding to my IRA but to the auto loan principal in an effort to have that car atleast half way paid off by the end of the year.

I was busy with my mom and sister today I forgot to wish my online mommies a very Happy Mother's day (sorry) Hope everyone enjoyed their day today
Well I took my mom out for dinner to her favorite place Golden Coral, now I wanted to go to a really nice restaurant but she wanted Golden Coral, not complaining but I really wanted to go to a classier place but it was her day so she got to choose
Then my sister and I hit the stores, I bought a pair of pants ($10) and a pair of shoes($13) but the good news is I added $35 to my challenge because I id not see the beautician this week
New total $5701.88

I used my $10 JCP coupon to buy a babyshower gift and only spent $5. I am so upset because I forgot to order the gift card from mypoints that way I would not have spent a thing, but I guess $5 is better than $15. Either way I saved money. So the $10 saved went to the challenge. I have not been adding like I use to and want to get back on board with that.
I used the cc today to pay for my tuition and payday is next week so I will pay it in full then. I basically wanted to use it to redeem the points. I also bought my textbook for the second accounting class that is needed (accounting is a lot of work) but any way the book only cost me a total of $8.09. $4.10 for the book and $3.99 for shipping. I am so glad that some one informed me about these different website that sell textbooks I saved about 90% on books each semester using these sites
Seems like it is a good thing I did not get into the summer practicum because I just reviewed the course syllabus for the account class and there is a lot of work, I hope I get my book next week so I can get a jump start on the assignments; classes start the end of June. For the marketing class I will start reading today at work

To the summer practicum that is (intership). So now I will not graduate until the spring of 09 I am so ticked off because I have been working on getting things set up for the summer and started on my intership well before the summer, but since I am not in the program then there is no need for me to work so hard.
I won't stress as much to finish so I will take two classes in the summer, two in the fall and then two in the spring and graduate then. At first I was a little upset (ok a lot) but then I thought about it and said things happen for a reason. The woman who was over seeing my internship really did not know what she wanted me to do and I really did not care for anyway plus after I completed my internship I would not have a job so it's best that I intern at a place in which I could land a job
On a different note I got $3 from pinecone and added that to the challenge.

Well I got my computer back today, which cost me $50. But that's ok because my computer is working. The tech said I had a corrupted file, I have a rain check for Best Buy and will go tomorrow and pick up Norton Anti Virus software.
I added $2 to the challenge because I had breakfast and lunch at home
I also have a slight tummy ache today, so I am just taking it easy.

I went in yesterday to my part time job they actually had some one on call in case I did not show...like I would really not show. It wasn't too bad but I did let one of the residents know what was going on and she was just as upset as I was but oh well. I figured they will be trying to get rid of me real soon so I will just stick it out and try and sock away my checks until they do. I finally applied for a summer intern, I have definately got to get on the ball with that...but haven't heard a thing
I was also able to get some studying in (accounting)and I have still not tackled my taxes I have no idea why because I am due for a refund
For the last week I was able to add $8 to my challenge and $8 to the cc for brown bagging it, unfortunately I had to buy buy breakfast because my uncle managed to eat an entire half loaf of my bread with his dinner. But I will not go there regarding that

Today was payday and I had a nice little surprise... a 75 cent raise. I wasn't even expecting that, so I have to call the bank in order to up IRA contributions(mental note).
I also paid off one CC, all my bills that are due by the 4th of next month and added $20 to the challenge.
Got my window fixed as well, when the glass was replaced they forgot to reset the motor but on a different note $85 was spent at the dentist. Now he wants to see me in two weekes because after his probing things do not look good so I am trying this mouth rinse, maybe it will hlp

I did not even study today But on a different note I got a $3 check from Pinecone so $3 was added to my challenge in addition I got the light bill today which was less than I expected $94 and that made me happy

Today was a much better day. I did not eat out at all so $2 went towards the CC and I got a $6 check for a survey that I must have completed in which I totally forgot about but was happy for. So I added $6 to my challenge
I still have not heard a word from that idiot boss of mine, maybe she is thinking of a way to fire me.
I finally sat down and did my homework for accounting since class is tomorrow, I feel comfortable other, than a few questions but other than that all is well on the home front

Well went to the doctor today with my mom and got some good news. He stated that as long as there was circulation in her leg that chances of amputation of her toe was very slim. She will go back to the podiatrist and have the fluid drawn from her toe for a culture and after that she will start the antibiotic (maybe IV )Thanks every one for all your well wishes and prayers
Furthmore, I added $10 my challenge brining my total to $7524.17 paid and extra $20 on the cc becuase I ate out for lunch today and I wanted to match what was spent

I have not been blogging like I use to but I have got to start back again or other wards I will be right back in debt. First I want to want you this will be a long blog because so much has happen.
Well I had a great day today until I went to lunch, my mom called me to tell me that the doctor told her they may have to amputate her toe. For months she has been complaining that it was bothering her and I have been trying to get her to switch doctor in order to get a second opinion because he was unable to find anything wrong well he finally decided to do an MRI which found some sort of infection. Well I immediately came home today I know I may have should have stayed at work but I felt like I needed to be with her because she was really upset. I did however, set up an appointment with another doctor in which she still doesn’t want to go because now her other doctor wants to take an MRI of her leg as well. Just keep us in your prayers and that maybe some sort of antibiotic will help
Next I don't know if you heard about the shooting in FL, where this idiot opened fire in a Wendy's, well that was near my job and an area that I travel to once in a while. Lord what is going on
It is sad that some one lost their life but I am also glad that not more people were fatally injured
Furthermore, I can not understand my auto loan. I have to call BoA because you would think that since the principal has decreased wouldn't the amount applied to the interest do the same? It seems like it is higher.
WIth everything going on I was able to finally add to my challenge the $26 from the surveys giving me a new total of $7474.22

And you guys will be proud I managed to pay off another cc ($475) and add to my challenge and not eat out for two days. I think this is great especially since I have not been blogging for a while

Long rant
First I went back to work on Tuesday, as anticipated my coworker left everything for me to do (yep, didn't lift a finger)
Next I notice my car was making a funny noise when I tried to start it (only 6 months since I have had it) to make a long story short, it would not start yesterday or today.
So after a big production on Tuesday trying to get an appointment for an oil change at Carmax I was finally scheduled
Now that I am scheduled, today is the day I take my car in. My uncle jumped my car, so now when I go in I say to the guy I am here for my appointment and in addition could you please check to see why my car is no starting
So he prints out my consent form to service my car only for the oil change, I say to him did you make a note to check why it is not starting? He says yes it s in the computer. Now being the consumer savvy person that I am, I ask him his name and the manager's name because I know that there is a fee for this but Mr. when you walk in the door I am not going to acknowledge you or even look at you for that matter, I guess had no time to enter the information correct. So I give him the key and an alternate number to contact me regarding the status and leave
Now I get a call that my car is ready and it will be $200+ of course I say for what? $54 to check my car $50+ for labor $50+ for the battery, plus my oil change. I say to the guy you have got to be kidding me and I am not paying this (the service for the battery) he says you have to pay for us looking at your car in order to find out what is wrong and that I signed an ok to do so, I say to him, no I signed for a an oil change.
So to make a long story short he says there is nothing he can do about it I say we'll see. Then I called their general manager in addition to the corporate office. In the end I got my oil change for free and picked up a battery from Sam's in which my uncle will put in.
Unbelievable, I guess he figured since I am a woman that I have no clue, guess he’s the whose clueless
Oops I forgot I added $40 to my challenge today , new total $7344.65

I got $3 today from Pinecone so $3 was added to the challenge
So far this year I have made $9 in surveys, not too bad. This however is not including the $23 I am waiting on from surveysavy. I wish there was a way that I could get atleast 2 paid surveys a week. Either way I am not complaining

Well yesterday was my birthday(the 17th) and I treated myself. First, I made breakfast then went and got a hair cut with color in addition to waxing my eyebrows. I even treated myself out to dinner. I had to go to class, but that ended up being ok. I was going to go out on the town but decided a movie would do, so I saw "The Great Debators" it was a really good movie. I even rembered to use my school ID which saved my $1.50, that is going towards the CC
On a different note, I'd like to say thanks again to every one who reads my blogs and voted for me in the last contest. And special thanks to Jeffrey; who remembered to send me a happy birthday email.
The money I won from the contest went straight to the $20 challenge.
