Check has not cleared

November 29th, 2006 at 01:58 am

I check the bank an dmy $10 check to the MD's office still has not cleared. It's been over 45 days, how long will they have to cash this check before the bank will not accept. I know that business checks are between 90-180 days but a personal check I am not sure of. This is so annoying. I will be calling them as well.

November 29th, 2006 at 12:12 am

Ok I got a card in the mail that my request for y $50 rebate was not processed the company needs proof of previous ownership. So I called and spoke with a Christian ID G-01420 and informed that the software was already installed on my computer he then stated he up dated the records to indicate that and I should be getting my rebate, we'll see. My rebate tracking number is 211210751. I just needed a place to document what took place in case my check does not arrive

Not a great day for mail

November 27th, 2006 at 11:47 pm

I read a blog that stated it seems like all the bills roll in during the month of December...or something similar and that is definately the case. I just got my 3 month car insurance statement for about $204 due on the 11th Frown anyhow, with x-mas and every thing else like my portion of the rental car for the trip to GA ($100.00) all will be due in December. Oh boy

Where is my GC?

November 27th, 2006 at 11:41 pm

Ok I got my check in the mail from teh part-time job and my GC was missing. Every year during Thanksgiving we get a $10.00 GC I did check with other employees who got theres but when I check was received it was missing. So when I return to work I will check to see if a envelope is there with it and if not I will ask about it

Personal Reminder

November 27th, 2006 at 11:38 pm

This is just a reminder to myself to contact my part-time job regarding my work schedule this weekend...maybe I will stop by tomorrow before class. We'll see how I am feeling

Amortization?

November 26th, 2006 at 07:53 pm

Ok my brother went to this real estate seminar, which I think was a waste of money but that is my opinion. As you all know I am trying to save for a house so he was trying to explain “Amortization” here I guess you pay your interest in a separate check early to the bank and apparently they can not charge you for it the following month. My thing is this why not pays on the principal (extra each month) which reduces the total balance on the loan as well as the amount of interest paid. Am I wrong is he right, will amortization actually help you pay the loan off quicker than just paying extra on the principal?

Glad to be back

November 26th, 2006 at 07:46 pm

Home in FL that is. We just got in from GA and yes I love m family but I am so happy to be back. The weather was really nice in GA, unfortunately I packed all warm clothing and it was not cold at all. While we were in GA we did some house hunting...lol my brother is now into real estate and these get rich quick ideas, I just wish we could have hit some of the tourist site rather than looking at homes...yes the prices are a lot less than FL but none of us was looking for a house and on top of that I got motion sickness from driving so much

I forgot

November 24th, 2006 at 02:39 pm

That yesterday was a no spend day so I need to pay y dail buck to the challenge

November 23rd, 2006 at 10:16 pm

With a society who loves the idea of being skinny and what others think...while surfing the web I ran accross a article of model who died from complications associated with anorexia.
Here is the link to the story, it is really scary, she weighed only 8lb at 5'7

Very upset

November 22nd, 2006 at 02:37 pm

Today, I was suppose to leave early; well my co-worker did not show up. Of course it was her last day, we are planning a trip to GA and can't leave now until after 7pm..boy am I annoyed what a stunt to pull

Rosie O'Donnell...I am sick of her

November 22nd, 2006 at 01:42 am

This is just another blog venting about these celebrities. Ever since Rosie has come out of the closet (I have nothing against gay and lesbians) she has been very obnoxious. First she complains about Oprah being gay and she should come out... who cares did she forget at one point in her life she too was in the closet, now she making comments about Kelly Rippa and Clay Aiken. Clay placing his hands over Kelly's mouth is disgusting and I would not be happy if anyone did that to me...gay or not. Give me a break

Friends

November 21st, 2006 at 07:43 pm

i ended up lending my friend the $100, she said in two weeks she should be able to pay me back...that's right "should" anyhow I returned the MP3 player and received $63+ back and then had to withdraw $40. I know she will pay me back but I just really hate lending money. I look at my account and I want my money in it earning the little bit of interest that it deos earn. We are going to GA on wednesday and I do not plan on spending anything. I picked up books from the library and will be studying on this little road trip so I am not tempted to spend a dime

$10 has not cleared my account

November 21st, 2006 at 07:39 pm

I called the doctor's office today regarding my lab test every thing is ok but the $10 check since October 19th has not cleared yet. When I spoke with the biller he could have cared less, he actually stated he received my check but may not have cashed it (?) I thought can you dounle check because I would like to balance my account and have all outstanding transactions taken care of. So I guess I will be following up with him next week

November 21st, 2006 at 02:45 am

Well I guess I never lost it, I was on administrative leave due to a resident dying and the security guard who I informed did not go into the apartment. Anyway my boss on my part-time job called and left me a message that I can return to work and to call her after my vacation on Monday just to over some things. Well I found out that the family was in town and they basically did not want me talking to them. Well I will get paid for the weekend that I missed (thank God)I am just happy to be back /to know I still have a job as easy as this one making money. Thanks to all of you who believed in me. I really needed the positive posts

Darn it

November 21st, 2006 at 02:26 am

I was trying to make another online payment to cc3 because I ate out today and I needed to match this amount, well I was unable to because I have met my limit of two online payments for the month. Just two, come on you would think that the cc company would be happy I am making payments but I guess it is their way of accumulating interest at the consumers expense but that's ok because I will add this account to my online bill pay through my bank which allows me to make as many payments as I like

Did some shopping

November 21st, 2006 at 02:19 am

I don't know I can never go in the store and buy what I need and come right out of there. Today I hit Macy's...I needed a pair of black tennis shoes ( I have a thousand pair of shoes and not one pair of black ones go figure) Any way I was in the store and picked up a pair of $75 Ninewest shoes for $22.50 as well, now that I am home and taking a closer look at my checking account I decided I will return tomorrow before I change my mind and am out $22.50 o foolishness...I also have the MP3 player to return first thing this weekend that was $60. When I get the money from my rebates I'll use that to get an MP3

Finally

November 21st, 2006 at 02:15 am

I finally boxed uo those expensive boots to be returned to Victoria Secrets onlyt problem is I wil not be refunded the entire amount, the company keeps $4 and some change for all returns but it beats the $149 that was spent. Now I have to keep my eyes open for the UPS guy tomorrow

Lending Money

November 20th, 2006 at 01:18 am

I have a friend who ask to borrow money, of course I said ok but I hate lending money. Yes I know she will pay me back but it will be a while, I'll be lending her $100. She just got a divorce but she always made the comment that if she wants something she is going to get it. Last year when we were hanging out and she was going through her divorce she spent a ton of money (depressed I guess) but I told her it is not good to have a lot of CC debt...I know from experience. Now when ever I talk to her she is always complaining about how much debt she is in. She did get a part-time job but I know it is the cc's that are driving her nuts

The heat is on

November 19th, 2006 at 10:28 pm

The first time this year we were able to turn off the a/c and fire up the heat. I am hoping that next month's bill will beat the $119 this month

Paying down cc 3

November 19th, 2006 at 10:18 pm

Ok I am starting on cc number 3, so I paid a dollar on it today (it was a no spend day)Once I return the boots that I bught on impulse Frown I will owe a little more than $500.00

New total $666.57

Yesterday's spending

November 19th, 2006 at 05:30 pm

I spent a lot yesterday and did not realize it until I was entering in my transactions

$15.00 prescription
$60 hairdresser
$4.53 sales tax
$59.88 MP3 player
$50. Loan payment to my brother
$5.38 Eye care (saved 2.00 with coupon)
$14.05 groceries

I think I will definately return the MP3 player

RCA vs IPod

November 19th, 2006 at 05:16 pm

I bought an RCA mp3 player yesterday for my trip to GA this week. I like it but I think I may return and save a little here and there with the IPod. My player has an FM tuner and hold about 320 songs but I am unable to dock it to anything, if I am not mistaken with the IPod you can hood it up in the car and easier to navaigate. I hate the fact that I have to plug in order to delete files. We'll see
