two months later and the doctor's office finally cashed my check. My...i wonder why it took them so long. I was going crazy trying to keep my check book balance. next time I am paying cash

    If you know the check has been written and the money has effectively been counted as 'spent' then I'm not sure I understand how that made it difficult to keep your check book in balance. Not saying it should take them that long to cash it..

    well I balance my check book ever so often and I need to keep in mind what is out standing and what's not especially when the bank shows an extra $10 and my records so differently. I guess I am just one of those people, I have to balance down to the penny
