Money...magazine that is

March 19th, 2007 at 01:38 am

I have gotten obsessed I think with finances. I read every money article in the paper, I love the Wall Street Journal (never before) and now I have just subscribed to Money the magazine for 24 issues at $20 not bad since they are $3.99+ tax on the stand. I wish I knew some one who could have given me their copies but oh well.

Well, a day late and a dollar short...but the library often carries this mag...at least here they do! However, this will allow you to review the articles as often as you like! I can think of much worse to be addicted to!!! Enjoy!

Me too. I never used to read personal finance books or magazines. Now, I find that is all I want to read. It's amazing how much you can learn. Enjoy!!!

When it is time for you to renew your subscription to "Money" (or any other magazine you might subscribe to) I have 3 tips for you:

    1. If you want to start a new subscription or try and get a lower rate on an existing subscription just type "Money Magazine subscription rates" on search and you can compare different rates being offered on different sites. Then you can compare them with the offers you might get for renewals and call the Customer Service number of the magazine and tell them you want to subscribe, or renew, but have found a lower rate on this site. Ask them to match it. You have to be able to tell them what site you found the rate on to be able to get the lower rate.

    2. Wait until the last minute to renew, then call and ask if you can renew but at a lower rate. One year I only paid $5.00 for a year of "Money" magazine this way, and also $5.00 a year for a subscription to "Parents Magazine" plus subs for my 2 oldest children, one free and one for $3.00!

Sign up on www.freebizmag.com they will send you emails for offers for free magazines. Also check these "freebie" sites: www.GogoShopper.com www.about.com/newfreebies, www.erewards.com ( points you can use towards free magazines) and www.Spoofee.com Between the 4 of them so far right now I have totally free subs to Good Housekeeping, Womens Day, Saveur, Ladies Home Journal, Vegetarian Times, Tips & Tricks & Electronic Gaming Monthly, (for my boys!), Computer Shopper, plus a few more.

I just signed up for Money and Kiplingers. Money I bought from their site for a 2 year term, good price. Kiplingers I bought on Amazon. They were offering their credit card and if you accepted they gave you 30.00 towards your purchase. I bought Kiplingers subscription and 2 books. My library does offer these magazines but a lot of the time I cannot stay to read and if there is an interesting article then I have to find the change to start photcopying.

I love Money too. I let it run out, but they never offered me a cheaper rate.

My library carries these magazines plus a bunch of other finance magazines and let the patrons check them out.
