It's out

May 23rd, 2008 at 01:59 pm

Finally this tooth that has been giving me trouble was extracted today and I did not feel a thing. But now I have a canker sore on my tongue...it's never ending. After researching it says that they can be triggered from Motrin (which I was taking for the pain) and stress, of course I have been with this tooth
But all in all it says to allow a few days for it to heal itself

Give it time. I had quite a reaction on my gums after my first root plane & scale, but it settled down. You may have a few rough days, but it will be so much better soon! Take care.

Remember to put it under your pillow for the tooth fairy. Remember OUR motto, every little bit helps. God bless.

Thanks everyone, and good luck snoopy. I went to an oral surgeon, a little bit more expensive but well worth it

So long bad toothie! Farewell, Al-vee-der-zane, Goodbye!!!

I don't know what your oral surgeon recommends, but my Mom's advice would be to keep gargling w/salty water for a few days.

You are so right luxlivingfrugalis!! Amber, rinse gently with warm salt water to lessen the gum irritation. I am glad you are doing well.

Rinse with the warm salt water, but DO NOT spit! Just let the water kinda fall out of your mouth. I know it seems gross, but if you spit you can dislodge the blood clot and have even more pain. So, no spitting. Wink
I hope you are out of pain now that the evil tooth is gone.
