Well yesterdy I was really upset, and just decided to Hell with the part time job, well I guess things happen for a reason because my brother has all this extra stuff that he wants to sell, so I am going to post them on Ebay and he said I can keep the money made and not only that I have a friend who moved to NY and I have been dying to go so I am going to book a weekend trip.
I transferred $1600 from the house fund to pay cc, but I only paid $1000 I have to balance the account and wait for some oustanding payments to post before I make the final payment either way the cc is under $1000

As much as I love going to my part time job it was not the worth th $9 I was making. I got a call today because I went to visit one of the residence and even though I wasn't fired I am just tired. I get a call every other month about something I did wrong and like I told the boss today it would be nice to be told once just once something nice. I think that is why my BP was up because I am constatly working as if I am walkig on egg shells. I know the economy is bad right now but I am going to look for me another part time job

Ok I went to the dentist today and it cost me $150 for the extraction which I thought was including when I paid half the money for the bridge ($1250) any how I have the temporay bidge in and it will be in for a while. I can't afford this. I have paid so much money thus far on my teeth it is crazy. I have depleted my savings and now I am taking money from my house fund to pay off the CC in which I charged my dental work and my new laptop. Thank God I get paid Thursday from my part time job, which I may not have because now the boss wants me to call her which never is a good thing. I have no idea what is going on but I will soon find out

I went into my part time job yesterday after having two weeks off. I was in such a good mood and then an incident occurred with a resident who is not allowed in the main building. The security guard basically told me to mind my own business well I am on final and written warning so I contacted my boss and guess what she did not want me to write the notes in the log (mind you it is company policy to do so) but to write a report and slip it under her door. Well I did that in addition to sending her a email so that I can have proof of what took place and I also noted on the note "per your request” so that there is no misunderstanding in the future; since there always is
On a different note my mom who if you have a nickel wants at least half of that made me so mad last night when I came home. One of the resident who passed away thought enough of me to leave me some perfume and a beautiful handkerchief and when I said to her Mrs. H left me something she says I hope it is money. I was so upset...it was more less the way she said it. Like it didn't matter what she left if it wasn't money
As far as the challenge goes $14.29 ws added in interest yesterday so my new total $5851.51

Well tomorrow is the big day, I am heading to the dentist and next week I am going to go ahead and fix the tooth that was giving me problems last year before that starts up. So when it is said and done I should be about $3k in the hole.
Everyone knows that I work a part time job with an idiot as a manager, anyhow I get a letter from her yesterday regarding my raise since I am on final warning I did not get one, which doesn’t bother me but what does is the fact that a resident 3 months ago wrote a letter about how professional I was and she said not one word as if it did not exists. So I emailed her and the direct of HR who stated he received the letter and it was in my employee file, and that it wasn’t given to my boss but her boss, here is my response:
Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate it. It's just that I was never told and was reminded of my errors; it would have been nice if management would acknowledge it, being that it is their duty to provide not only a positive environment but feedback as well. Again thank you, have a great holiday weekend
The funny thing is, is that if the resident never told me I would have never known? And even if it was given to my boss’ boss you mean to tell me she doesn’t have sense enough to tell me. The bottom line is she doesn’t like me and I don’t like her

On Monday my boss told me not to work on the bills when I see them because the owner only wanted 1 person (S) to work on them. Before I could ask why she said she did not know. But I had a feeling he noticed that S really does leave them and not work. Now I have spoken to him already about her and she is the laziest thing, at the end of the day she won’t even put away the sign in sheets unless she is told but I noticed the other day she did. I was even shocked that she did it and thought hmmmmmm M (the owner) must have had a little chat with her, but B who is my boss wouldn’t tell me any way because basically she will be admitting that S is lazy and she had to have a little talk with her. Well today I realized he must have because when I came in there was nothing in the bin to do and she always for the last year and a half have had something in that bin and furthermore she was given the bills today and not only did she complete them but she mailed them out as well. And to top things off the boyfriend always calls at 5pm when everyone (the bosses) leave and he didn’t. She has been there a year and a half and he has always called and today was the first day he didn’t. Until I said something to M she would talk to him for 8 hours out of an 10 hour shift ( I am not lying) even the patients were complaining and then it just went from 5-7pm. You live with a person, how much can you talk about? Oh I forgot , usually she calls patients at 6:45pm to remind them of their next appointment and I have told her time and time again not to call so late, well today she called before noon so I am positive she spoken to. It’s too bad that it takes the owner to have to say something for you to do your job, or maybe he realizes that once I graduate I am out of there so he’d better make sure he has a capable staff

First I called the bank regarding the cancelled check, and thank goodness they allow 1 free copy a month if you request a copy of a check.
Then I called the director of the local chapter of Cystic Fibrosis (twice) and as the day progressed I thought why haven’t he called me back, I thought they wanted volunteers?
Well he finally called back and I will be volunteering Saturday & Sunday in two weeks, and to be honest I am a little excited about it. I was just saying that I want to touch people’s lives and start some volunteer work and then the college sends out this email for volunteers at the walk for Cystic Fibrosis, talk about coincidences
Then there is this hospital that I would like to work at after graduation, the direct of the college in which I attend sent out an email looking for interns. Well since I have already committed to a summer intern I thought maybe I could intern in the fall, closer to graduation. Well after speaking with the supervisor at hospital, he stated that he needed interns for the summer. This was a few months ago. Well I get a call on Friday to call him back and I called today and he was suppose to call me and of course I did not get a response. Hopefully he is calling me for the fall, I would really love to get in for the fall
Today was a no spend day, yippee…. I am very happy about that.
I almost forgot I went to see Mr. H since his wife passed away, and I always travel with my laptop. Well we got to talking about all the people who turned out for his wife’s funeral and all the attorneys from his firm (he has the largest firm in one state located in the west) Well he is 98 and had never seen their website, I felt really good that I could show him the site and place a smile in his face. I love that little guy. It’s so weird because I almost said to him where is D? Thank God I didn’t. I am really going to miss her
Then there is the thing with my job we are working some more Saturdays and I am not offered the opportunity to work because I work two extra Saturday’s. I know why my boss is doing this because no one told her I was and it was ok with the owner, so this is her little way of getting back at me. But that’s ok, something good will come out of this.
Oh something else that happened today, I run a report of all outstanding balances and have been for months well there was a name that was not on my list and when I brought it to my boss’s attention she said she had it in the computer well low and behold when I printed the list today the name was on the list. Hmmmmmmm. I can’t stand when people (well her) act as though I am stupid. What did she think? I would not know that she made a mistake, little miss perfect and added the name today. For months I have ran the same list and this name never showed up, just so happen the patient returned and I needed her chart and then miraculously after she’s informed the name is there and then she pretends it was the computer. For a year? Yeah right
oops I forgot, I have 7 people watching my purse on ebay. Hopefully someone will buy it

well I got the intern position. I will be pretty much working as th director of activies. Which is fine with me because I can pretty much work my schedule as I see fit. And since I already work at a senior facility, I can use some of their ideas and incorporate that with my internship.
In regards to my part-time job I got a call from my boss' boss assistant to set up a phone conference. I thought a phone conference you have got to be kidding me, you are too busy to meet with me or my concerns are not that important that you can do a quick conference call. I was so annoyed I just left her a message that I did not want a phone conference and to forget about the entire thing

Well I had my little meeting today with my boss at my part time job, basically they put me on a final written warning and I basically told them they could take their Mickey mouse job a shove it
First of all I did not go to work on Saturday due to my break in and I left a message for the supervisor who says gets this, I called but did not leave a message. Now the following is an email that her boss sent me because apparently they did not have my current phone number (a cell phone) Now if the only number they have for me is my home number and not my cell when I called from my cell phone and if I did not leave a message how did she know it was me. And that is what I asked and of course they said for me not to worry about that incident because messages get lost…yeah right
“B has been trying to call you @ # we have for 2 days…line busy. Please make sure we have correct contact #’s..home/cell”
And the person who told me he knew that the resident was discharged apparently told his boss that he never said that and when I asked for a meeting with him I was told no because he has his own problems…these were the directors exact words

Today was payday and I had a nice little surprise... a 75 cent raise. I wasn't even expecting that, so I have to call the bank in order to up IRA contributions(mental note).
I also paid off one CC, all my bills that are due by the 4th of next month and added $20 to the challenge.
Got my window fixed as well, when the glass was replaced they forgot to reset the motor but on a different note $85 was spent at the dentist. Now he wants to see me in two weekes because after his probing things do not look good so I am trying this mouth rinse, maybe it will hlp

Today was a much better day. I did not eat out at all so $2 went towards the CC and I got a $6 check for a survey that I must have completed in which I totally forgot about but was happy for. So I added $6 to my challenge
I still have not heard a word from that idiot boss of mine, maybe she is thinking of a way to fire me.
I finally sat down and did my homework for accounting since class is tomorrow, I feel comfortable other, than a few questions but other than that all is well on the home front

Warning this is a long post:
Wow seems like my year is not getting any better. First I did not get a raise this year, next I get the flu, some kind of way I fell back into old habits and upped my CC bill, mom has an infection with her toe, and my older brother who has been on his job 24+ years was just fired because he won’t stop smoking pot and did not pass a random drug test. I have not added to my challenge like I am suppose and am $2k behind on my goal. In addition y cable bill is now up due to increase rates $71
And today I get an email from the idiot I have as a boss on my second job stating that I dropped the ball. Basically a resident was discharged from one hospital and moved to another on Friday, I work on Saturday. Some one called and told security he did nothing with the information or from what I gather now informed no one. I then get a call from her neighbor who is concerned and followed –up as much as I could, once told by the security guard and former supervisor that he knew I assumed that my boss knew as well and went home
Here is a copy of the email I sent her as my response and of course she has yet to respond and I refuse to take the blame for this, the only thing I would have done differently was note in the log that I was informed by another employee that he too knew about the patient being discharged:
Let me clarify, I was informed by a resident that she was unable to reach Ms. X and that she called the hospital and was informed that she had been discharged. I did follow up, I thought by contacting the CC (skilled facility) in which I was told that she was not there, I later contacted the hospital and was on hold I'll say about 20 minutes (because of some emergency) I was then told that she was discharged. In addition, I called the resident's home and no answer. I also sent R (security) to check her apartment, after he checked her apartment I was told she was not there. So I re-read the notes in case I missed something....and nothing noted, had N (security guard/former supervisor) noted/followed up on Friday I think the problem would have been cleared up then. Anyhow, since nothing was noted I called Ms. X back trying to get as much information from her as possible, such as when she last spoke with her, and what the conversation was about. In the meantime N was in last night and mention to me that he knew Ms. L had been discharged from the hospital/not that she simply went out...so if he knew then I assumed that at the most J (supervisor) knew and what more follow up is needed if a former supervisor who knows company protocol is aware of situation as well has his/her manager is aware, what else is needed? What additional follow-up is needed?
I do not attend to come across angry but it does angry me that once again I am left holding the blame when clearly the situation was neglected prior to my shift an entire 24-hour later.
Have you spoken to N as to why nothing was noted? And if J was even aware? or anyone one else for that matter
If you have any questions please call xxxxx if I do not answer leave a message I am going to the library or email me I check my email on a regular basis
Now I am ticked off because not only did she accuse me of not doing my job but she did my annual review in which I only worked with her a total of 6 hours that right 6 hours for the year and was told that my appears was not u to par, mind you I wear a uniform that is always cleaned and iron. For the measly few dollars that one makes this little job is so stressful the entire place is ran like a circus. People are promoted based on who they know and not what they know

Well, I did not get my raise...well no one did. Just wish he had told us before hand instead of waiting until payday. In addition, I did not get my week's worth off vacation pay so I will remind him next pay period. Well he gave us all an extra hour on our checks, yep 1 measly hour. Well I should not complain because I do have a job

Well tomorrow is payday, which is the first check for the year. Usually the boss gives us a raise so I have my fingers crossed. He also owes me a week's worth of vacation pay from last year so I hope it is with this check. In addition I have two CCs with balances so I am going to pay off the one with the interest, my goal is to have both paid off by the end of the month.
On a different note I went to class tonight and it is going great. The instructor actually teaches, this is my third attempt with accounting so we'll see how things go on the fist test. I already got 10 extra points
I bought breakfast today for $3.63 so $4 went towards the CC
I guess that's it for now

My boss (owner) decided that he wanted more than on person looking at past due balances (basically I got a minor promotion) the office manager is who was/is responsible pretty much slacks. So any way there is this new lady who calls patients that I give her to bill because the office manager writes them off. So to make a long story short, she calls this patient who has a balance due, and ask the patient to "borrow' yep "borrow" the money form her parents. Can you believe this? Not how much can you pay, or are you able to make monthly payments, I thought that was terrible and down right rude. She saw nothing wrong with it. Grant it the money is due but I just could not see myself asking another person to borrow the money from their parents. Maybe it is just me

I am starting to hate my part time job. I like the extra cash but it is becoming to be too much. As you all know I am a concierge at a luxury senior facility, last night security went up to one of the residents apartment and called me to call 911. This is a pet peeve of mine, don't you think he should call from the aprtment (911 that is) before he calls me. And to make matters worst, when I call I can not tell the dispatcher any thing because I have not witnessed the incident n or am I in the immediate area where it occured. Now I have informed management if this on more than one occasion, but I guess it is going to take a lawsuite for them to figure it out.
I also gave them my notice that I can no longer work Sundays after the first of the year and guess what I am still on, well they are in for a rude awakening because they now have twoo weeks to find some one or find some one for both Saturdays and Sundays

Well I went to the dentist yesterday and I keep my card on file. Well I have a $425 credit because I was going to have a gold tooth removed but since I found out I need an implant on another tooth I decided to hold off. You would think since I have a credit the work I had done ($185) would have been deducted from the credit I had, no they charged my card so guess who will be getting a call first thing Monday morning
On a different note I was going to get a bowl of chili for lunch today $3 the same amount I spend on frozen dinners for lunch, anyhow I decided to order lunch and a coworker placed an order as well, well guess what, after I paid he says to me I will give you the money on Monday arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. Always follow your first thought if I had went and bout my chili I would have only spent $3
Lunch came to $17.30 I estimate that mine was about $7 but I am sure I will not get my full refund, this will not happen to me again
In the end I paid $7 on the cc since I ate out for lunch and added some change to the challenge
New total $7182.61

First I have it out with my co worker. Since she has started the only problem I have with her is the gum. She shares my desk with me, and chews gum, then takes it out of her mouth, leaves it on the desk (unwrapped), touches every thing then puts it back in her mouth and again touches evey thing, mind you she is not washing her hands. Then she puts it back in her mouth and starts the whole process over. This drives me crazy because we share the desk and I do not want to touch anything she touches. The problem is she sees nothing wrong with this, and we work in a health care facility.
On a good note, I got a "C" in the class that I was worried about. Only 1 point away from a "B"
So I got 2 "A" and 1 "C"
Got home today and received my first check from Pinecone ($3) so this was added to my challenge

Well even though I contribute $50 twice a month to my own personal IRA with no matching funds I realize that this is not enough for my retirement. I decided to enroll in the 401k plan at my part-time job. If I am not mistaken the first 4% they match 100% and anything after that upto 6% they'll match 50%. I am not sure what funds are available and how the whole thing works, so I will be posting my questions as soon as I get the packet this weekend for everyone's help. I know I will do the 4% since that is pretty much what I can afford but we will see

who works with idiots? Well the security guard on my second job likes to leave at 10 before his reliever actually arrives (he's scheduled until 12) Any how I get a 911 call a residents states that her husband fell and could not get up so I inform him who was just about to walk out of the door. Now what does he do, one would think go up and check/help the resident...well guess again; he hangs around hoping that his reliever shows up. What was he thinking? In the meantime AMR is on the property and he stills ends up going up. Idiot! nWouldn't it make sense to stay on the job until your reliever arrives?

Ok here it is my boss was just told by the owner to let the girl at our other office place the orders for office supplies. Any how she is soooo upset about it that she won't even help her with the order, is this crazy or what? I mean can she really lack that much job security that she would be upset if some one else is placing the order. She basically deos the medical billing for the office, once I asked her for a billing code and she wanted to know why I wanted it now could I possibly take her job by knowing one code. It's stupid and childish

Well the seniors were not bad tonight (thank God) no one had any complaints and there were no 911 calls on my shift. I still have about 10 minutes left but they are all sleeping right now, yeah!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong this is a really nice job but these seniors (really wealthy seniors) can drive you nuts.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, you all know how I hate starting the movies because if you start one minute early or late you will definitely hear about, not only that I have to lecture them about their walkers etc. etc any how I was told no more will I have to start the movie. The girl from activities has to come in, bad for her but great for me

Ok as you all know I work at a part-time job on the weekends and this is where I get my studying in. Anyhow there is this idiot on the job in which no one can stand, he complains about everything and everyone (he can not be trusted) any how I have been here since May of 2006 and have worked with every manager who mind you have seen me studying (one in particular is taking classes as well and studies when he is on) any how Mr. busy body made a complaint that, that is all I do. Can you believe that? Now if he wants to sling dirt I will be more than happy to. For starters, today he sat here for one hour trying to talk to me ( I ignored him as much as possible)not to mention that his wife comes here at 10:00 every night that I am here and sits with him at the guard house until 12pm (when he gets off) now shouldn't he be working? Not only that what if she gets hurt on company property in which I remind you she should not be on being that this is private property and if you are not a resident or employee you are not allowed on the property. I am soooo ticked off the only reason why I will not say anything to him is because the person who told me I like. Now for the hour that he was here with me he wanted to know what the other guy did, so I asked him why is it any of your business his response was 'because he only noted once on his log that he checked the doors" mine was 'again I ask you why is it any of your business, you are not management he has been here for 3+ years and no one else is complaining, doesn’t management "read" his log to see that he has checked the building once, so why I ask again is it any of your business" he got the picture and left. I mean come on is his goal is to get everyone fired? He complained and had a meeting with management because one of the guards said to him stop acting like a baby. Not only has that he brought in his laptop, TV magazines and other things when he knows he is going to be on the desk. Just mind your own business and long as my work is complete and no one in management is complaining then mind your own (bleep) business
Sorry but I just had to get that off my chest

very obnoxious. As you all know I work at a "luxury" senior living facility part-time (mind you I enjoy it for the most part). But the children of these seniors act as though they were the ones that worked their fingers to the bone and you owe them something. 98.9% of the people living here came from nothing and worked and worked ( I have heard this story more than once)so that their kids can have. This jerk (son) comes to the desk to tell me they are having a party for his mom and if I would direct the guest to the party, then he left me his cell phone number in case I could not do that. I mean how in the hell does he thinks the other/prior guest made it there, does he really think I would not direct them to the party. It's not so much that he thinks I wouldn't but the way he said it, like do I know who is mother is. I don't care if it was George W himself I treat everyone the same no matter what
