I never experienced paydays when I am not broke. Since I have taken on this seriousness with my finances I always seem to have some cash left over until the next pay period. I just checked the bank and my funds are there from the part-time job ($234.90). So to even everything out I paid $34.90 on the cc debt.
Previous total: $2584.36
New total:$2549.26

This is part of what they mean when they say "financial freedom". You aren't a slave to payday anymore!

I had set an original goal this year of $300 savings. Due to a number of financial setbacks(mostly kid and school expenses) it does not look like I'm going to make it. What has changed drastically for me this year is that I am no longer broke at the end of each month. For me, buying 2 to 3 rolls of quarters, and saving all my change(those pennies really do add up), I am rarely ever below $20 by the 25th of each month. It feels so empowering to know that I have at least $20 or more instantly available to me in case of an emergency or the kitties need more cat food. (grins) With six cats, they eat a lot.
