I just can't believe it

Since I have joined this site I have been able to get my finances in order. I can't not believe that I am almost at $7000 saved. Just sitting there, I just can not believe. I am positive that there are a number of you who has three times as much but this is a big accomplishment for me I can't ever remeber saving so much money and not only that I can actually see my dreams of owning a home next year coming true, as long as I stay on the same path

I am just excited I WANT TO SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!

Amber: Each person here has their own numbers. I think that $7,000. is great. I can imagine how escited you must feel. We all have our individual marks that we want to be at.

Congrats Amber! Looks like you are saving $12K toward a new home? If you want to feel great, compare your situation to mine: I'm also 33, I bought a place nearly 5 years ago, but instead of saving for it, I borrowed $12K from my dad to cover the down payment. I still owe him $7K, so in 5 years I've only paid off $5K of that. In less than 2 years, you've saved $7K. Unbelievable!

Threebeensalad, last year i used the money to pay off debt. This year it's all for my house, however I do plan on taking some cash out to pay off CCs if i do not get another bonus.

Ceejay, think of it this way you are not paying interest and you hae paid almost half...I think that is great I guess what I am saying is be proud that you are able to repay and want to...good luck

Congratulations! I once heard saving is a lot like exercise. It's hard to get motivated to do it but the more you do it the more addictive it becomes. Very true!
