$10 a week

December 26th, 2008 at 11:07 pm

I just transferred $10 to my challenge/home fund and decided to transfer $10 a week to this fund, not much but a start. I also notice that I did not included $21 from Pinecone and $15 from lightspeed so my new total is $1155.82 a little less than $10k to go Smile

    Way to go Amber!

When we started saving for our first place , we started by saving $50 each month. We knew it was a small amount, but we also knew we had to start somewhere. It started growing, we were able to gradually increase the amount, and before we knew it we had our condo!

So many people would say "oh it's only $10 it doesn't matter" but you know it DOES matter and that's great!

Thanks for sharing Scfr, it means a lot to know that some one else has started out the same way

I agree with scfr Amber. When we first started saving and getting out of debt, it was $5. a week. The interest made on this money is not very much in the beginning, but eventually you'll be able to see how savings really add up. Especially when you have it in its own account. We eventually started being creative about how we saved our money.

    You're doing good.
