Update

Good morning all!

The house the debacle is over, I received my check and paid off CC6, CC8 and CC7 will be paid off today.

I decided to purchase the villa that I’m in. The landlord agreed to $140K, and the place appraised at $150K. The good news is by me purchasing the rent/mortgage will be cut in half. The extra money saved, I’ll put half towards EF and the other towards the remaining debt.

I still have the 8k saved so if anything comes up with the home that’s where I’ll dip into. I don’t include this amount in the sidebar.

We are also expecting to relinquish a high level employee, her duties will be split amongst managers so, I should be getting another raise. Upward of about $10k - $12k

    Congratulations Amber! Lot's of good news. I'm sure it is a huge relief to have that house situation finally settled. That's an impressive raise coming too.

    LR yep! He couldn’t contribute one penny to this home purchase. When I told him I needed to pay the CCs off and what the amount was he didn’t have a response or offered up any cash. I paid for the application, inspection, appraisal, etc. not one coin from him.

    I have shared with him that unfortunately what I need, demand he can’t provide or simply won’t. With the CC debt and a reduction in rent I’ll be fine.

    Down to the engagement ring, it’s turning brown. Two years and couldn’t buy a cheap ring that didn’t change colors 🙄🤦🏾‍♀️

    I am completely dumbfounded that your fiance, who seems very concerned about appearances and owning nice things, bought you a fake ring?? WOW! I think that kind of says everything. I would be livid about all the times he called you cheap or didn't have money for utilities or rent.

    It's good that the house nonsense is behind you but I thought you were going to have enough money to pay off all the credit cards and be able to make a down payment on a house. Did the court lower the price so that your brother could afford the house? Shame on them if they did that.

    You have over $15,500 in credit card debt left. Do you have a plan to pay that off quickly? What's the status of the student loans?

    Thanks everyone! AnotherReader the dollar amount was suppose to be higher but my attorney wrote the motion wrong. I didn’t want to spend any more money on legal fees, and get this mess behind me.
