Debt BINGO

December 19th, 2017 at 01:29 am

Pulled the number 5 for the debt BINGO so I got this bill down to $736.18 😊

I was really hoping to get this CC paid off before the new year, it just looks like that's not going to happen.

Due to some mishap this past weekend, I really went over my budget for the holiday party we have. Poor planning, but I learned from it and moving on.

The SO scratched off $100 on a lottery ticket and gave me $50, I then cashed in my ibotta account, I think it was $26 and later realized I had $50 in my PayPal account. Overall if I was to include the money I received I may have went over budget by about $40. I'm still a little annoyed because this was to go on the debt, at least I didn't use any CCs

I have trouble keeping party expenses down myself. But then, I usually end up with way too much food. Well, keep doing your best! You'll get to your goals!

Sorry about going over budget. Budgets are guidelines. It's hard to make them perfect every time, all the time. And yes, we learn as we go don't we?

Amber, you've done so well, since you chose to listen to D Ramsey, I believe you're being far to hard on yourself. Christmas season and parties are very difficult to moderate and when you add them together, a few dollars in various categories adds to shocking results. Better to enjoy friends, celebration and refreshments and return to your plan without regret.

I'm sure you will make it up at some point; we all spend a little more than expected here and there. It's just moving money here and there to make up for it.

    Hi everyone,
Thanks for keeping me motivated. I was feeling down

    Carazyliblady,

The BINGO debt is a BINGO saving card I found online. Basically I put the numbers found on the card in a jar, and each week I pull a number. Rather than throwing the number pulled (e.g 34) at my savings each week, I throw it at the debt. I've provided a link to the card below.
