Student Loans

August 25th, 2022 at 12:55 am

Lord, I pray that I'm eligible for the student loan forgiveness.

Biden made the announcement and I have no clue if I'm a part of the eligibility group.

Fingers crossed s

You can read about it here.

There is a place to sign up to be notified when applications open, but I hear the website is slow.

    There's an income limit on it...I believe it's $125K

Thanks Lots of Idea, I signed up for the alerts.
@Suzanne my income is $105k but after taxes I’m thinking about 87k
Last year with all my deductions I was able to get down to about 60

Amber, while you’re waiting to see if you will get student loan relief, consider something radical. If you get $20000 in relief, are you willing to raid your emergency fund to knock the balance out and be DEBT-FREE? You have enough in sinking funds to be you time to rebuild. But just think, each paycheck would be yours. Give it some thought.

@DW,I would only pay the minimum on the student loans. Very likely that Biden or a more progressive Democrat will forgive more loans in the future.
