Just venting

Ok I have so much to say, today..it was a bad day all around. Any way went to work today and they decided to by the boss a $400 gift so we all have to give $40 this is $15 more than last year next year it will another $10. Now we have the secret santa which I can not stand because it seems like I always get junk so now I have to spend $25 on that $60 thus far and to top that off we are having a pot luc and I have to bring some that will be another $20. $80 on co-workers I don't even spend that much for gifts for family, boy am I ticked off

    Can't you just refuse to participate? Personally, I think it is inappropriate for underlings to give management gifts in the first place, but it certainly should not be required, in fact it is illegal to require it. As for the secret Santa, again, I'd just say don't put my name in, I can't afford it.
