Keep your fingers crossed

April 6th, 2007 at 10:18 pm

My dad is to have cataract surgery but I do not think he will (he's 70). I did however mention that he should get a second opinion but I don't know if he will. At that age you are stuck in your ways, he said the doctor told him that he would only operate on one eye and that the other was to far gone. I am hoping he will I would hate for him to go blind

My FIL could barely see by the time he had his removed and he is fine now. My mother also waited too long, but also recovered well. It is fairly routine these days to eventually need cataract surgery, we are living longer than ever. It seems like everyone I know who has reached 70-75 has had to have surgery.
