Not feeling well

Lately I have not been feeling well, last night I got up to take a shower and could hardly stand up; I felt faint

The nurse at my part time job took my BP which was 145/90, I don't know why and today I have a terrible headache but I have to drag myself to class

I will definately keep an eye on my pressure and make sure to get into the MD next week

    Go to the doctor tomorrow. If you are feeling faint and have a headache, those are both signs of high blood pressure. You may be retaining a lot of fluid, increasing your pressure, which needs to be corrected immediately as well. Are your ankles and feet swollen, are your fingers and hands? Blood pressure that high is nothing to ignore or put off. Ever.

    Yeah, don't do like I did and wait until it's 220/188!!! Have it checked out immediately.

    You know, high blood pressure runs in my family.... I probably should get myself checked anyway... especially since I don't exercise as much as I used to.

    Good for you taking care of it right away! My BP had started to raise with being pregnant and now I'm on a low level BP medication and it fell right back down. I thought I felt fine, but now I feel great...BP is no joke, make sure to stay on top of it! Hope you feel better soon Smile

    No but my pressure went down and I will see him tomorrow at 12, unfortunately they could not squeeze me in
