Darn it

I tried yesterday cancelling a cc that charges me an annual fee, well the idiot on the other line was unable to cancell my account and "tried' so he says to transfer me to another person, in which I never actually spoke with. I had to then get ready for work and and once I tried to call later that evening, of course the office is closed, I tried again today and of course the office is closed Frown Now I have to wait until tomorrow and probably will be charged the $69, why didn't I do this sooner? darn it.

    Did you write down the time you called and his name. Document everything and refuse to pay the bill. You shouldn't have to pay for what an employee doesn't know or fails to do.

    I would call them tomorrow and ask to speak with a supervisor. I'm sure that they will help you. Keep us in touch.

    There's a lot of times they will drop their "fees" if you just ask. They would rather drop the fee than lose you as a customer. Also, it should be in their computer the days and times you called.
