Less Interest

October 7th, 2007 at 03:07 pm

I just noticed that ING has dropped their rates Frown I thought this is strange I am making less money than last month on a daily basis. So go back and review my statements compared to my online on and sure enough they went from 4.50% to 4.30% I guess I should not complain since they are paying more than my local bank

Good for those getting a mortgage, not so good for those investing!

Amber, it is even less than 4.30%. Their interest rate is something like 4.22% and the APY is 4.30 and that's if you'd leave it in for the whole year. I had the same thing happen. They dropped the rate on the 19th. I couldn't believe as low as their rates were compared to everyone else's that they were one of the first to drop their rate. I just didn't feel like rewarding them by keeping my money their. I moved it to Emigrant Direct. At least they're paying 4.75

I closed that account out also. I still have Emigrant Direct at 4.75% and I also am still with FNBO, which has an interest rate of 4.93% with an APR of 5.05.

Check out PoundWise's rates. They're all up to date.
