DO NOT DO THIS!!! this is a fraud. The western union part tipped me off...I had a guy buy a tv from someone and sent them money via western union and my friend never got the tv (like $3000)!

The letter you show has "scam" written all over it.
    Don't fall for it.

Don't ever sell computers on eBay. A buddy of mine got TOTALLY SCAMMED by these suckers, and lost nearly 800 bucks. No matter how good it sounds, just don't do it. Find someone w/cash on C-list or something. Don't even use Paypal, that's how my buddy got tanked: the person turned around and said someone hijacked the Paypal account, and they took back the money.

    Seriously, cash or no deal.

I agree with the others. The letter has SCAM written loud and clear. Don't deal with this person any more.

You did the right thing by not agreeing to that sale ... Sure smells like a scam to me too!

Oh, and are you sure you really want to sell the Dell to your sister, given her history with paying you back? Perhaps you could tell her she could put it on "lay-a-way" and once she has paid the full amount, she can have it? Smile

  7. Amber Says:

Thanks annab I was considering paypal. SCFR I decided not to sell to her for that very reason (her history) that was one of te reason I listed the Mac on craiglist

Never accept check and then wire money...the checks are no good. You will be out the computer and the full amount. Deal locally only and in cash!
