$82,000

Well this is a continuation from a previous post. As you all know my BF accounts were frozen for over $80k. As I mentioned before he has an attorney that I think he should have fired a year ago, see he is paying child support for two kids one which he has custody for.

Long story short his attorney finally called back, and guess what? She admitted to him that she does not handle cases (family) such as his. WTH! Was all I could say. However, she will refer him to some one in her office. Are you serious? I said to him I would file a complaint with the Florida Bar Association. A year later, suspended license (she advised him to payless only to find out this was not agreed upon in court so he was in contempt) and over $82k later you realize you don't handle such cases.

I told him when he hired her to go with some one else, but no.
I did advise him not to use anyone in her office

    If he was paying child support, certainly the state's child support unit would not have reason to seize or freeze his bank account. Was he paying the lawyer instead of the child support? Or was he maybe turning over the CS to the lawyer, trusting that she was forwarding it to the state collection agency? Was he paying CS directly to the Mom in cash, getting no receipt so that the Mom is able to make it look like he has not been paying?

    As the girlfriend, you probably don't know the ends and outs of his situation, so I'm not really looking for answers to my questions. But mainly, I just want to say, be careful here.

    You're right JOA, I do know that when he pays if it's due on the first he may pay two to three days late and I have informed him that this is a big no no and will cause problems. The only problem I have is if you hire an attorney he or she should be honest up front if they're able to handle the case and she told him a year later
