Keeping up

April 13th, 2013 at 03:10 pm

Hi all!

I know I haven't been blogging lately but I have been keeping up with my finances.

First, I'm still battling with the numbness of my tongue and a slight ear pain from my wisdom tooth extraction. I see the oral surgeon next month and if things aren't better I'm seeking legal counsel. I do not want any money for pain and suffering all I want is my attorney fees paid and the medical expenses that will incur when I see the neurologist and any other expenses, God forbid if I have to gave surgery.

Next, long story short I never received any money from the BF for our trip in January so I ended up paying for the entire trip. Cost $600 ( car rental and hotel). This cost doesn't include gas. Oh well lesson learned, we're in April and I'm done reminding him that the CC bill is due. The good thing is the CC I used only for the car ($288) because he was to pay for the car. Plus the CC zero interest.

Lastly, I've been keeping up with my challenges. As far as the 52 week challenge goes I'm on week 20, ahead of the game Smile

For the $20 challenge I'm still adding $6 for the days I do not eat out and I just paid $300 on CC4 knocking the balance down to $550

So things are still trucking along, I can't wait until I'm debt free

Terrific job staying on target for CCs. It's super important to clear the balance on a 0% CC by the date required or they go back and charge interest from date of purchase for every single item at a horribly inflated rate.

I was hoping you'd kick that BF to the curb since he's financially immature, irresponsible and there has been no change/improvement. I recall he wasn't paying his share of rent or CC, or holiday car rental etc. Everything now rests with credit scores, even employers check scores before hiring or promoting. Did he really put cash in his late father's grave? If you have a good relationship with his mom, could she gently remind him to catch up the rent and outstanding bill?

How is the new job? Hope you like it. {{{Hugs}}}hope the dental problem is resolved quickly.

    Keep up the good work!

There is nothing like dental problems to get my sympathy! That nerve damage sounds scary. Frown I just had an extraction and had to sign a written notification that nerve damage can happen and it could possibly be permanent. I'm so sorry it actually happened to you. My understanding is that even when nerves do heal it is very, very slow. DH had some problem just from a Novocaine shot--numbness in jaw, chin, lip, side of face. It took about 8 months to go back to normal, except a little finger tip sized spot below the lip. I hear that even after years it can still be healing.

Snafu I'm moving in August. That's when I graduate and get a substantially great pay increase. Too be honest with you I'm not even sure if he buried the money or not . As far as his mom, I think she knows the situation and that's why she tries to slip him a few extra dollars but he refuses. He is so silly yesterday, we went to cash in change for him at my credit union since they do not charge, he saw a friend in the parking lot and tried hiding the change and did not speak to his friend. I didn't say a word I thought it was ridiculous.
And I lovvvvvvveeeee my new job! I'm so glad I left the Agency

Joan, thanks I have heard the same thing, it's really scary.
