Preparing for Hurricane Irma

Preparing for Hurricane Irma is exhausting.

We were able to get our Hurricane supplies but I just feel like I need more. Having gone through, Andrew, Wilma, Francis, Jean and Katrina you just never know. You can be prepared but contingent upon what happens you're not prepared enough.

Please keep us in your prayers as we brace for these storms

    Praying for you! We are a north of FL, so right now may not impact us, but we picked up our water supplies for the season. What did you buy?

    CCFree, we picked up perishable items and few paper products. We already had batteries, charcoal and stuff like that.
    We have 6 gallons of water and three cases of the 24 pack of drinking water but I feel like I should get more. I'm so nervous. The governor has declared a state of emergency, so that things can get moving. I'm praying for you all as well

    You could also pack up and head north depending on the path Irma is expected to take. If I had been in Houston with the prediction they had ahead of time, that is what I would have done. Make sure you have non perishables that you can open with a can opener. A radio with batteries is good too. Fill up your bathtub(s) and have a bucket to full toilets if water goes out. Stay inside even after the storm, so many people go out too early and find themselves in high water!
