No Family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Vacation 🌴 For Me

Well I'm not going on the family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 trip, I knew I wouldn't be going but was putting the money up just in case. I realized that a laptop is more important not to mention paying down my debt than going on a trip ✈️ 🌴

I did some researched and found a refurbished HP laptop 💻 at Walmart for $139. So just two pay periods away and I should be able to purchase one, cash 💰. In the past, I've always put these items on a credit card 💳 and bought brand new. Well it feels so good to know that I can cash flow things and know that refurbished is just as good as new.

Though it's not a must that I buy the laptop 💻 and I probably won't, I've learned to wait three days before making a purchase and that is why I'm so happy.

On a different note, I created the sinking fund for Car insurance, car repairs, gifts and sorority stuff. But I've spent everything on car repairs. First brakes and next alignment, and tire rod. Now I have save up for a motor mount 🤦🏾‍♀️

    Smart. That's how you are acting. You had saved money for your car repair and you paid it when it came due. No credit there. Smart, very smart!

    For years DH and I didn't do vacations because we simply didn't have the money. We are at a point in our lives we can do vacations, and even being, we don't go crazy. A year ago last January we took a two week vacation to Tybee Island, Georgia. We rented a condo on the beach. We could see the beach and we were blessed with lovely weather almost the whole time. We had the cash for the trip. We ate a lot of meals at the condo and I took quite a few nonperishables with me so we didn't have to spend the money. Groceries here in Central Illinois are more reasonable than on the east coast. We did what we wanted to do and traveled around Savannah and enjoyed being on vacation. When we came home, it was all paid for. A lovely trip and wonderful memories, and no regret. You will get there Amber, Sometimes you have to do without now to have the good stuff later.

    Rob, I cannot wait to get to the point when I'm no longer worrying about debt. The thought of buying a laptop cash is such a great feeling or better yet, paying down CC9. Lol, either way, the money will not be going on a vacation.

    CCF he wasn't planning on going because he does not have a passport, back child support 🤦🏾‍♀️. I haven't told him, he didn't want me to go because he couldn't. I really wanted to go so that he could see what he misses out on, for it getting things together but I realize, you can lead a horse 🐴 to the water 💦 but you can't make him drink

    Amber, I'm so proud of you for not going on vacation and having your priorities in order! You're doing the best thing for you! You've made such great progress, keep it up!
