Saturday Catch Up

Yesterday was pay day, I’ve managed to save and add to my CC 😀. I’ll update the totals later.

I got the refund check from my insurance company, I switched to Geico, saving me, $60 bucks a month. My mom wanted me to give her the check. I’m not going into details but I’ll say this, any time you get any one money from anything she expects a portion. Nope I’m adding the $101 to my CC once the check clears.

In different news I did not track my expenses all of last year, so my MSMoney software was all over the place. I just started a new one, I hope I keep up with it.

I also created a new habit tracker using, Google. I love filling in these little boxes, I find that it keeps me motivated. I added updating MSMoney to the list.

There was a time if I forgot to use a coupon I would say never mind, but I went back into Walmart for my $1 on Act. Lol

    Amber, I have gone back many times after having forgotten a coupon. My husband will often say "I'll just give you the dollar" but I never give in Smile A dollar off coupon is a dollar that stays in my pocket.

    Glad you got the insurance check and why your mom would want a portion is beyond me.

    Sometimes Amber, it’s best to keep money wins to yourself when it comes to your family.
    In some families when you’re debt free or you have money wins, some family members feel a sense of entitlement to it.
    They don’t want to do what it takes, they just want your savings. I remember when you received the money from the
    sale of your father’s home, your brother needed money. I know you said he rarely ask, I just question the timing. Didn’t he get money too?
    I just feel when it comes to your financial wins, watch out for family.

    Unfortunately, since I have been in high school my car has been insured with my mom policy. Even though I make the payments, she is the primary insurer, so I had to tell her the check was coming,so that she gives it to me.

    My mom like my brother who gives me hell is just greedy for money. They both think my dad died and left me millions of dollars.

    Amber, you're a grown woman now - get your own auto policy even if it costs more to do that! Just tell her that you're simplifying your finances. Not trying to criticize - just taking up for you.

    @Jenn. That may have been part of the reason Amber switched to Geico, in addition to having a less expensive policy.
