$265.00 short

As you all know my brother owes me $265.00 and I am nervous about asking him for my money. I know I shouldn't be but right now things are getting tight I am paying down/off debt and basically I need the money. I would like to put in my EF an d watcht the interest grow, but with a new/used car in my future paying off what I owe is a priority. Wish me luck, I know he won't be upset but I know right now things aren't going to well for he and his family and I do live at home but I guess that is besides the point

    Amber, one of my children requested I loan them $300.00 until their next pay day. He had payed one bill twice by mistake and it caused him to come up short. He wrote me a check to cash the next week. Before I cashed the check I called him, well he asked me to wait one more week. No problem, then it was one more week. My DH and I joked that we knew we would not get it back and that was ok. If a person has to borrow a fairly large amount of money they normally will have a problem paying it back. At the time, we could spare the money so it was all ok with us. My mom told me a long time ago anytime you loan money to a relative just consider it a gift and that way you would spend time wondering when, if or how they will be able to repay it. I try to tell people I will give you the money if you need it. If you pay it back that is ok and if you don't that is also ok.

    The correct answer after the but is..."but I need my money too!" You're a good sister who needs to be good to yourself now. Good luck - you've have been doing so great at paying down your debt, and preparing for a future car purchase. Yay for you!
