Another day at work

October 21st, 2006 at 02:13 am

well we hired a new person who is very nice and smart but unfortunately she does not speak English that well ( she's hispanic) and the therapist treats her like crap...she's hispanic as well which surprises me. well I finally told the boss that she was so rude to her, that even others made mention to it. I just hope things work out

October 14th, 2006 at 04:45 pm

went through bills and balanced out my account and notice I forgot to transfer some funds to the challenge Frown But that is ok because I did find my errors and balanced my accounts. However, for the month I went crazy just spending...looks like I am slowly but surely going back to my old ways in which I need to address ASAP especially since I was doing so well all year with minor errors.
thus far this month:

Gas $43.34
Cell: $120.55
Water $43.08
Groceries $64.99

Tip of the Day

October 13th, 2006 at 09:22 pm

I received this in my inbox today and thought I would share, being that the holidays are approaching:

Gift Boxes

I cover my gift boxes with single rolls of wallpaper I've
bought at thrift stores for $1 each. Some are elegant and some
are plain, but the paper is durable enough to make it through
the mail.

Mid term exam

October 13th, 2006 at 03:07 am

We had our first exam in my intro to healthcae servcies class...I think I did ok, I just wo't know my grade until next week. Seems like nothing I studied was on the exam. 1-7 chapters we were to study and everything he had us to go over and review was not on the test. But I have to wait and see from this point

Time to stop the madness

October 13th, 2006 at 03:04 am

Well my week of uncontrollable spending has come to an end...I was just not in the mood to cook anything for breakfast, lunch or dinner so all week I ate out. Well now it is time to get focus and back on track. I was just so stressed out with my class and therefore just did not time to do anythig but study, my room is a mess as well but I am will get that straighten out over the weekend

$10.00 on cc

October 11th, 2006 at 07:59 pm

Had to match funds today, so I paid $10.00 on cc. I will definately cook dinner tonight...what an expensice week

$3.28 on cc

October 11th, 2006 at 02:10 am

$3.28 was paid on my cc debt, compared to the $85 I spent today, $3.28 is just pennies. But atleast I was able to pay cash

Uncontrollable splurging

October 11th, 2006 at 12:45 am

I have been so lazy for two days in a row I have eaten out for lunch and then tomorrow again...I promised a friend I would meet him for lunch. The today bought me a Vera Bradley bag that I have wanted for a while so I decided to treat myself ($85) but I guess we can splurge once in a while

Finally

October 9th, 2006 at 03:54 am

Finally got around to typing up my follow-up letter to two collection agencies who has not verified my debt and now must remove it from my credit file or I can sue...which I probably won't. But now I have to send out a ton of letters one to the CA, another to the state attorneys office (both FL and CA) then one to the FTC and another to the credit bureau, but at least it is done. Now this time next month my score should have jumped because there should be three things removed...what a long process

I know I should be studying but...

October 9th, 2006 at 02:18 am

I am surfing the net, reading blogs, thinking of ways to pay down cc this month; pretty much doing everything other than studying. I feel like the brain is in overload. I have read and re-read my notes, read over not cards...for the most part I know what's on the note card but this is the class I am not sure what the instructor is looking for. Classes started in August and he only gives 2 exams, a mid-term and a final. while in class he never discuss what is in the book (once in a blue moon). On Thursday he did give some indication of what he maybe looking for,and those concepts were in my notes but I just have no clue. We'll see on Thursday, i will continue to review my notes as much as I can

No spend day

October 8th, 2006 at 03:58 pm

Today was another not spend day so I added another buck to the challenge/debt brining my new total to $2572.59 and then I added $.59 to the challenge/home account brining my new total to $26.96
I have to keep remebering that every little bit helps

Paying down debt

October 7th, 2006 at 03:58 pm

I just do not know how some people do it. I am in about $3500.00 worth of debt and it is driving me crazy, every time I look at the numbers. Some people just don't have a care in the world. Any extra few dollars I get I am trying to pay it towards my debt..it is driving me crazy. I know some may say use the money in my EF but I do not want to use it in case I actually have an emergency and then have to use the CC. Anyway I paid another $5.05 on my debt/challenge so I am feeling a little better but I know now if you can't afford to pay cash then I guess I don't need it

Easy getting into debt but hard getting out

October 7th, 2006 at 03:18 pm

Boy it is a long process when it comes to clearing up ones credit. I have to send letters here and there wait 30 days then send another then if ot respond either proceed with legal actions of write another letter to the BBB and the state attorneys office. I have been so busy these last few month. Any way I checked my score and there really wasn't much change. But I have to start with the letters again Frown

Dining Out

October 7th, 2006 at 03:06 pm

Well I went out for lunch yesterday with a co-worker, my intentions were not to eat out for the rest of the month but it is only day 7 of the month and I had lunch out. Atleast I saved $.90 with a coupon and then added $7.44 to the cc debt/challenge in order to match what was spent eating out

Good day

October 5th, 2006 at 10:18 pm

Today was a good day, filled up the car ($18.33) gas prices were $2.32. Went to class which went by pretty fast(thank God). Then hit the grocery store and saved .30 on Irish Spring with my coupon

So I added $1.49 to the challenge cash account after rounding up today, new total $1.49

Payday and I am not broke

October 5th, 2006 at 09:42 am

I never experienced paydays when I am not broke. Since I have taken on this seriousness with my finances I always seem to have some cash left over until the next pay period. I just checked the bank and my funds are there from the part-time job ($234.90). So to even everything out I paid $34.90 on the cc debt.

Previous total: $2584.36
New total:$2549.26
Challenge total:$393.15

Another $19.01 on the CC

October 5th, 2006 at 01:29 am

Ok I paid another $19.01 extra on my debt. Tomorrow is payday from tmy part-time job so I rounded up the money in my personal account to make it an even $200.00 so of course I use the extra funds on the cc yippie!!!!!!! Anything extra I am either saving in my challenge saving account or putting it towards my challenge debt account, so things are looking up

Previous total $2603.37
New Total: $2584.36

Total applied to debt challenge:$358.25

Living off old salary

October 5th, 2006 at 01:14 am

Ok now that I got my raise which is almost $50.00 extra each pay period, I will live as though I did not receive this extra money and transer all funds to my EF. I was thinking about using it towards my debt but I already pay twice as much on that and since I want about $6000.00 saved before I actually start saving for a house, so for now I am living as if I did not get a raise
