Family

January 15th, 2007 at 05:57 am

My sister called to borrow $300, so i said to her if I do not take my car to the shop she could borrow the money. Well she wants me to hold off....now isn't that selfish I was so upset, why would I hold off from getting my car fix to lend her money. Not only that the person who will be doing the repairs works at the dealer and I get a break so I have to take it in when he is slow. Talk about selfish, I guess in her eyes
I am just a walking bank

I just noticed that your friends and family seem to borrow during the middle of the month, then pay you back at the beginning of the month. You're the bank for a number of people.

Please get your car fixed and don't loan money to your sister. Its your paycheck - your needs come first.

I can understand wanting to help your sister, but you have to put yourself first sometime. Getting your car fixed is important. You don't want to be driving aound somewhere and have something on it fail, causing you to have an accident.

Unless this is a case where she made a bad buisness deal and owes the mafia money so she gets to keep her legs, take care of your important money problems first.

    Good luck!

PLEASE GET YOUR CAR FIXED!!! Make your sister be responsible for her problems. Be very kind to her, maybe making a few suggestion, but don't enable her by giving her your money that you obviously really need.

Sometimes, ya gotta say "No". Sounds like now you have a good reason to, (needing your car fixed) so you won't have to feel guilty!

You do say yes an awful lot to loaning money to your family. If they are going to be ungrateful and selfish, and somewhat entitled to your money than its time to end the loans altogether. They really need to learn to live within their means. If it isn't a true emergency, I would not loan out money to them again. They should get used to the fact that the 1st Bank of Amber is closing down.

You need it, you use it.
