Sad news

Sunday Ms. H passed away. She was the senior that I visted every Saturday. I saw her the week before last and last week Saturdy I went to see her but she was not doing well and was a sleep. But I was able to speak with her husband. Per little thing,I did try to see them today but no one was home. The service was actually today, I will definately miss her

    Sorry Amber. I volunteered for a charity by visiting Gladys, a 90something in a nursing home, for about 2.5 years. She stopped letting me come for about 4 months because of feeling ill all the time and then passed away last year. It's very sad and leaves more of a hole than you'd think.

    Oh, please take a little time by the weekend to have a happy activity, ie walk in the fresh air, window shop in the city, or just be with friends who understand.

    Amber: When I first moved to Florida I met this elderly neighbor on our block named Mrs. Toms I was selling Xmas cards and of course she didn't buy any. She did ask me to read some of the cards that she had there because who eyesight was poor. I learned that she rarely saw her children but they would buy expensive gifts for her. She was a very sweet woman and pleasant to be around. I continued for a few months reading to her. One day my neighbor told me that they saw a hearse pull up. No one knew she had died. I found that strange because the state that I came from - everyone knew when someone died. It has been many many years since that time - but I have thought of here ever so often. Some people just leave an indelible memory.

    Thanks every one for you condolences, I really appreciate it. Aleta, I see it all the time where the kids never come and see their parents...it is very sad
