IRA Challenge, anyone have one?

I realized that I have a challenge for everything. For example, 52 Week challenge, $20 Challenge, No spend day challenge, step challenge, but I do not have a IRA/retirement challenge.

I have decided to add an extra $5 to my IRA for every CC that is paid off but I wanted to know if anyone has a challenge for retirement and would like to share?

    No retirement challenge. We max ours out each year and auto invest month to meet those. Great plan though to get a little more invested for your future!

    Thanks CCF. I have an interview next week, job paying in the 70s, hopefully I'll get it and can max out this year. Fingers crossed.

    We max out, but it's more of a priority than a "challenge". That is great if you are able to do so this year!! Fingers crossed for you!

    Good idea on the challenge. I don't have one (challenge), but think you are on to something.

    We simply try to get it done every year. Sometimes we have waited until we figured taxes to catch up on it, though.

    I don't have a challenge - but just have a set amount I send. Can't max it out if I want to have money to save for other things. (I send about 15% of net to my ROTH and at my company they take 7% of gross and match 9% - so roughly 31% of my salary goes to retirement funding.)
