Rain Barrels

Over the last few days we got a ton of rain. Just so happen I had a bucket out side and water was collected. I’ve decided to use this to mop my floors. 

 

I’m thinking about getting a rain barrel to catch water. 

 

Anyone have one?

    Yes, I have a rain barrel that someone made for me, but it's not very good. I need to get a better one that has mesh on top to keep out leaves and such. I use the water collected to water my plants outside. It really helps with the water bill and is better than chlorinated water for plants.

    We used to have them on our downspouts, but they would get clogged up. If you do decide to get one, make sure it uses screening. This also keeps out mosquitos from laying their eggs in them.
