Blackout Friday

Tomorrow is Blackout Friday, and I’m going to do my best to participate. Will some people shop the day before or after? Of course—but this is about the message. What’s happening in this country right now is beyond frustrating. Government spending is out of control in some areas, while other critical needs are ignored. And firing people recklessly, without proper review, is not the answer.

 

On a personal note, I’m proud that I’ve been able to keep my own debt and spending in check—though I still need to update my sidebar (one day I’ll get to it!).

 

Other than that, not much else is going on right now.

    I am participating, despite my desire to go out to lunch!
    As far as government waste goes, careful review, not slash and burn is a better answer. And don't get me started on firing people wholesale by midnight emails.
    (actually happened to grandddaughter's roommate!)
    Moreover, when you read more deeply, most things are revenge for investigations into Musk's companies or schemes to further enrich Trump or Musk. How is that not waste?

    Carol like you I agree, there is always room for improvement; however, I am not for revengeful antics. I’m do sorry about your granddaughter’s roommate, no one deserves that.

    Also late commenting. I didn't do any corporate spending on Friday but did stop for dinner at a locally-owned diner. Glad to hear that your debt and spending feel in control!
