Paying down the CC

January 21st, 2008 at 12:31 am

I spent $3.95 on eating out, another $12 on two pair of sweats so I matched this amount and paid it on the CC. This is what I call wasteful spending

Payday

January 16th, 2008 at 02:36 am

Well tomorrow is payday, which is the first check for the year. Usually the boss gives us a raise so I have my fingers crossed. He also owes me a week's worth of vacation pay from last year so I hope it is with this check. In addition I have two CCs with balances so I am going to pay off the one with the interest, my goal is to have both paid off by the end of the month.

On a different note I went to class tonight and it is going great. The instructor actually teaches, this is my third attempt with accounting so we'll see how things go on the fist test. I already got 10 extra points Smile

I bought breakfast today for $3.63 so $4 went towards the CC

I guess that's it for now

$20 challenge

January 15th, 2008 at 02:34 am

Just received a $6 check from your2cents in addition to the money I received from a gift card that was sold on ebay ($28.83 )I have decided that until I get the cc paid off, only extra cash earned (surveys or gifts ) will be added to the challenge. So it is going to be awhile
New total$7263.89

Today and yesterday were both no spend days so $4 went to the cc

Paying down the cc once again

January 10th, 2008 at 03:05 am

Once again I am at it with trying to pay down my CC, right now it is a zero interest card util July but I still want it paid before then. Any how I had $33 left in my personal account (tomorow is payday from the part-time job) so I paid $33 on the cc and I also received the $23.56 today from half.com so I went ahead and added this amount as well. Goal is to have it paid off by January 31st or aleast 3/4 of it

Oh dear

January 8th, 2008 at 03:23 am

Last year was a great year and this one seems to be starting off on the wrong foot.
First I get a letter in the mail that my license is suspended because I did not pay a fine. Well I did not have to because the cop sign the ticket stating that the tint on my car was fine, good thing I kept a copy because tomorrow I have to go down town.
Now the classes that I would like to take are not available so I am stuck with only two classes which means I may not graduate until 2009 Frown Next, my part time job still have not found a replacement for me on Sundays, now I think they are taking advantage since I did say I would stay until they found some one but now that I think of it I am tired and will give them 2 weeks from this Sunday, almost two months

On a different note I should be getting my deposit of $28.56 from half.com for a book sold and today was a no spend day so a buck went towards the cc and the challenge

No spend day

January 6th, 2008 at 06:17 am

Today was another no spend day so a buck went to the challenge and a buck on th cc

New challenge total $7184.43
New cc total $2971.49

No Spend Days

January 3rd, 2008 at 09:44 pm

So far I have had 2 no spend days, other than the dentist Frown I paid two dollars for each day I did not spend anything to my cc rather than adding it to the challenge. So $4 down and a lot to go

$20 challenge

January 1st, 2008 at 04:50 pm

Well using my debit card with ING for the month of December I earned $6.03 during their 1% cash back reward. So I added this amount to the challenge; first deposit for the year. I also rounded up some change to add as well.

$20 challenge year to date $8.06
New bal $7180.76

I also paid $180 on the cc bal, this was money my friends owed me

CC vs Challenge

December 28th, 2007 at 01:44 am

I know I should be paying the cc with any extra cash I get but I feel obligated to add to the challenge, so I added $50 and paid $49 on the cc (I got paid from my part-time job today).
I decided that after the first of the year my entire check from my part-time job will be added to the challenge. I think it is best to go back to living on one check
I rerally need at least a total of $24k by November 2008 ($14k for a dowpayment and $10k for an EF). See I plan on gradating in December and would like to buy a townhouse as a graduation present

In the end new total for challenge is $7100.10 and CC debt $2981.93

$6

December 24th, 2007 at 08:34 pm

Just got 2 more checks from pinecone for $3 each, so I paid the cc

I will have to say I did really well today, I almost bought an iPod but opted out. I said to myslf is this a need or want, so that was the end of that.
I ended up buying another gift for my God daughter's sister, that was only $2.12 I had a coupon for Penney's which expired today for $10

$3 for Survey

December 22nd, 2007 at 01:41 am

Got my second check from Pinecone Smile and added it to my visa payment. The goal is the have this card paid off by January 31st. No way am I going back into debt

I also ate out today Frown $8.50 so I added this amount to my challenge, new total $7035.51

Remember that $5 payment on the my auto loan and the girl was laughing, well the check cleared the bank and it is not posted to my account....arrrrrrrgh

You know I will be contacting them first thing in the morning

$5 gift

December 21st, 2007 at 10:22 pm

Received a card today from one of the patients which had $5 in it, so I applied it to my cc instead of the challenge. I have no idea when the CC went up so much, I did pay for my classes (over a $1k) and my dental work, boy it really adds up

Challenge

October 31st, 2007 at 01:58 am

Just paid off another cc I do not know how I upped my cc after working so hard at paying them off. I did pay tuition and MD bills but my goodness. Anyhow, I did add another $101 to my challenge today so my new total os $4838.85 Smile I was rally hoping to make the $5k mark this month but oh well

BoA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

August 14th, 2007 at 04:40 am

Ok I open up this new account so that I can pay my car principal online well we already know that isn't the case. Now I am waiting 5 days for this transfer of $20 into my new checking account so that I can withdraw the funds and close this account, this is crazy. Now I get my new CC which was suppose to 0.0% on balane transfers, guess what it a 3% charge or $10 which ever is greater. You have got to be kidding me, of course I cancelled that transfer. Also my contract says introductory rate through July 2008 (no date give)one would think the end of July right? Wrong July 2nd
It's funny because when you do the application online you're not told of the little fee but when you get the paper work in the small print there it is.
You know the old me would have never read the contract I was just happy to have a card but the new me hmmmmm I go through everything with a fine tooth comb

Good news

July 30th, 2007 at 11:15 pm

I have good news all around, my nephew came home today. He said he was doing much better and wanted to start work on Monday, I told my sister to go ahead and let him (try not to baby him) so I am happy; he's also not hearing the voices which is great

My brother paid me the $500 + an extra $30 so I was happy with that.

I added $100 to my challenge/home account $50.00 to my car account (for payments) and $20.00 to the principal on my auto loan and paid on my misc stuff like the cc in which I had dental work done

So today was a great day

$20 challenge

July 18th, 2007 at 04:24 am

Well I have not been adding to the challenge like I should but I did ad my weekly $25 deposit; new total $3352.85
I also added $148 to my car account, I firgured I still should be adding to this fund for any repairs or insurance etc that will be coming due that new total $756.11. I almost forgot I added$30 to my EF account and $50 to my IRA, paid $100 on the cc as well

Paid off cc 1

July 11th, 2007 at 02:55 am

I actually paid off all my CC's the earlier part of this year but had to use them for the dentist and my tuition. Anyhow on the 4th I called in regards to cc1 to cancel my account and was told if I did ,so until the balance was paid off I would be charged $3 so I decided not to close it and pay it off next pay check. Well guess what it was closed Frown So I went ahead and paid oit off, thus far I do not see a charge for $3 but will be a little annoyed if next month I get a bill, the only good thing was I wasn't charged the annual fee ($69) or any finance charges because I paid it off

I know it is going to hurt my credit because I closed the account but I do not plan on buying anything soon and being the frugal person that I am now, I am not going to pay another company to use their card, when I can use another's for free

So new balance $508.82 (one clas plus a book) This will be paid off next month

Darn it

July 1st, 2007 at 04:29 pm

I tried yesterday cancelling a cc that charges me an annual fee, well the idiot on the other line was unable to cancell my account and "tried' so he says to transfer me to another person, in which I never actually spoke with. I had to then get ready for work and and once I tried to call later that evening, of course the office is closed, I tried again today and of course the office is closed Frown Now I have to wait until tomorrow and probably will be charged the $69, why didn't I do this sooner? darn it.

No dining out

June 7th, 2007 at 02:53 am

Again I made breakfast, lunch and dinner; so I added my $5 to my cc balance brining new total to $1268.65

I can not wait until this is paid off. Next week is payday so I can pretty much pay a third or a little more of the bill. I hate having cc debt

Another day eating in

June 5th, 2007 at 06:05 pm

well I had breakfast at home as well as lunch and dinner is alreay in the making
So in order to get my cc down by the end of the month I am adding all my no spend day funds to the cc.

New balance $1274.37
I can't wait until payday when I can knock this in half

No spend day

June 5th, 2007 at 03:25 am

Today was a no spend day and I normally add $5 to my challenge/home account but since I have accumalated CC debt I added it to my credit card.

However, I did add my weekly $25 to my challenge today. I use to do this thing with my mom and family members where we all put in X amount of dollars and we each got a draw. I figured why not earn interest on my money and besides, that was a time when I couldn't save a dollar

New cc debt $1279.37
Challenge home balance $4055.43

Payig down the CC

June 3rd, 2007 at 03:21 pm

As you all know I put all my dental work on the CC Frown but my goal is to have it paid off by the end of June, so the challenge/new home account is on hold Frown But I know I have to pay this off. Anyhow today I had breakfast at home and I alreay prepared lunch so $5 will go on the cc and I also hung out two loads a clothes to dry so that is $2 plus yesterday I did not eat out so that was another $5; all towrds the cc

New total $869.71

Yikes!!!!!!!!

June 2nd, 2007 at 02:29 am

my cc is back up, I put my dental work on the cc Frown next pay period I have to pay at least half, I refuse to pay interest. Now I have to hold off from the challenge and add every extra buck to the cc. I refuse to have cc debt
No way Jose

Closing another account

January 17th, 2007 at 03:04 am

Well I got a cc offer in which I was approved no fees much lower interest rate from HSBC so I am closing my other account that I have a fee ($69 a year). I know this will hurt my score but I do not plan on buying a house for a year and I have no balances on anything not even my store cards so I am good to go, I hope either way I was planning on closing this card before my year in June. You know now as I am blogging I think this was a bad idea maybe I should not have answered the promotion, darn

oops

December 30th, 2006 at 02:29 am

Darn, I just checked on the my cc for some odd reason I thought I paid it off but I guess not. I must have missed a X-mas transaction and now I have to find the receipt because I am not sure of this transaction...I am sure I used the card since I was using it during the holiday and paying it off right away as goes, but how could I have missed over $47 now I have to add interest as well. I am soooooooo annoyed but I paid it and kept my goal for 2007

yep i am free

December 25th, 2006 at 12:32 am

I just paid off my last cc, my mom was to give me the money for the microwave and i told her not to worry about it and consider it a X-mas gift...so I am prod to say I have no cc debt. This is the first I have always had a credit card debt, now I just need to work on my student loan

Finally

December 20th, 2006 at 05:11 am

I finally paid off the last cc I had Smile I am jumping for joy. The only problem now is my mom ask me to pick up a microwave and she owes me for ( I ended up putting this on the cc in order to keep everything seperate) and I also picked up a gift for her friend who will pay me back for her gift . So basically I have met my goal for 2006, no cc debt. However, I won't start dancing and screaming until I get my money from my mom and her friend

No Spend day

December 14th, 2006 at 06:59 pm

Today was a no spend day so I am paying a dollar on my cc debt/challenge. I also tried calling Macy's regarding my balance due which i show I have a $32.99 credit and they show $1.04 big difference but I was on hold for so ong waiting for a rep I just hung up. I have to call later

$20 Challenge

December 2nd, 2006 at 02:12 am

Well I added my weekly deposit of $25 to my challenge/new home account new total $150.08 I also paid down my cc debt which is a part of my challenge/debt account. Total amount paid $323.03 bring my new total for cc debt to $447.08.
