Finally

August 10th, 2008 at 03:13 pm

Te dentist finally called me regarding my bridge so I am meeting his wife at 11:15 today. I prefer her but I think she is no longer working any more which sucks. He's a nice guy but I think nice simply deosn't cut it.
Any how I a plan on hitting the beach today and spending my entire day there. Thursday I was there all afternoon and had the best time

I forgot

May 5th, 2008 at 03:16 am

I forgot to note that my sister finally paid me back the $100 she owed. She called me out of the blue and aked "don't I owe you money?" my response "yes" and then hers "Oh, I forgot" how do you forget that you owe some one $100? Anyhow, I knew she would pay me but it was a matter of when
On a different note the purse I paid $250 for I posted on ebay with a reserve, if I can sell it at the reserve price I would actually make money, if not it is going back to the store. I have my fingers crossed

Working hard

May 5th, 2008 at 12:24 am

I am working hard on trying to get everything situated before I actually apply for a home. Anyhow I was going through all my paper work looking for a possible doctor’s bill that I was going to pay off. As I was going through the paper work I found an explanation of benefits from my health insurance that paid $51.20 leaving me a balance of $12.80. So I thought I did not pay a $13 bill? This is crazy. So I looked back on my money file keyed in the amount to search and guess what? I did pay it. But the problem is I have to call the bank and probably be charged more than what the bill is to get a copy of the check but if I want it removed then I guess I have to pay. But now that I think about it, I think the bank allows you two or maybe one free check a month. There is also another bill from the same agency and now I am thinking I paid this as well, but I will have to all my insurance company for a copy of the explanation of benefits and begin my search from there once I receive it …. So I am happy things are looking up

On a different note I went to Mrs. H memorial service today and the family were so nice to me. I guess the realize that I love their parents just as much as they do and it made me feel really good that they accept me as a friend or even a long lost relative

Not sure what to do

May 4th, 2008 at 03:48 pm

The city in which I live in is offering grants for first time home buyers, upto $50k which can be used for a down payment or closing cost. It is based on first come first serve, and fire fighters, nurses and teachers gets first dibs. However, I have a few little things that I need to clean up on my credit before applying for a mortgage but I am wondering if I should ago ahead and apply for the grant. I am nit really ready to move until December or next January.
Here is a quick overview:
The XXX Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) teamed up with developer Cornerstone Group to include affordable housing at XXX, a master–planned luxury condominium and townhome community located in XXX.
Here is a quick review:
Through the joint financing effort, income– eligible buyers can qualify for as much as $160,000 in financial assistance on a condo or townhouse. With up to $60,000 developer contributions, up to $50,000 in funds from the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (S.H.I.P.), and another potential $50,000 from the CRA’s Homebuyer’s Assistance Program, the price on a $279,990 three–bedroom condo can be reduced to as low as $119,990.

Located at XXX, The XXX offers 180 two and three–story townhouses and condos at market rate prices ranging from $279,000 to $299,000. 50 units as affordable housing for people who meet certain income guidelines are designated Applicants’ income cannot exceed 120 percent of Palm Beach County’s median household income relative to family size. For a family of four, that would be $77,280.
So what do you think? Should I apply or wait until I am actually ready to move in Dec/Jan

Huge mistake

May 4th, 2008 at 05:18 am

Well I did some shopping Frown and spent $250 on a handbag that I will be returning tomorrow. I knew then when I was buying the bag I could not afford it but I wanted it and used my cc. What in the world was I thinking? I bought a shirt and a pair of sneaks that I really did not need but wanted. It's tough but I have to hang in there because I want a house and a $250 handbag I can't live in

Payday

May 1st, 2008 at 02:34 am

Today was payday and I paid my cell phone, car note and internet bill; and it seems like I am broke again. Cell phone was extremly high because people keep text messaging and I have asked that they not do that so I am going to have to take action and have them blocked. I paid an extra $100 on the car, I figure if I do that I can get the principal down before I apply for the home mortgage. I am also going to apply for refinancing today to try and get a much better rate. $30 went to EF, $50 to house fund, $50 to IRA and $10 misc. account
This months spending...really bad this month

Sad news

April 30th, 2008 at 02:24 am

Sunday Ms. H passed away. She was the senior that I visted every Saturday. I saw her the week before last and last week Saturdy I went to see her but she was not doing well and was a sleep. But I was able to speak with her husband. Per little thing,I did try to see them today but no one was home. The service was actually today, I will definately miss her

Group project

April 27th, 2008 at 07:23 pm

This is exactly why I hate them; first of all I get to the college and of course my team mates aren't there. When J finally shows up she is 20 minutes late. Now S who insisted on meeting of course did not show. His excuse, he did not know we were meeting....EXCUSE ME? Now I am PO'd, he is suppose be our group leader which on the second day of class he said he would now he has no idea what I am talking about and not only did I hear him say this but every one else in the group. I keep telling myself this is my last week

I hate group projects

April 27th, 2008 at 01:12 pm

I hate group projects, instructors always says that you need to learn how to work as a team. However, what I have found is that group projects are totally different than work. I am meeting my classmates today because they, well 1 person insist on meeting; now we had enough time after class to meet but he never stayed and on my day off I have to travel 8 miles in addition to wasting gas. Now our professor reviewed our project and his is the only one with comments on them for corrections. But I am going anyway because I told the other girl I would

Not a good day

April 27th, 2008 at 04:50 am

Today was a day, first I went to the library to get a book and every book that I looked for and was suppose to be available wasn’t; so I simply settled for two others. Then I came home and was told my by my mom that my niece is going to boot camp because she is constantly misbehaving in school. My brother is her step dad but has decided, with the coaxing of my mother to stay out of any decision making that pertains to N who is 15 (I think) I personally think this is a bad idea but then again I have witness step children lying on step parents and creating a whole lot of trouble.
Next I am on my way to my part time job and I get this over whelming feeling to buy flowers for one of the residents who I adore, only to find out that she is dying and hospice was called in. Now this has happened before and she bounce back but I am not sure now. Her husband seems to be ok but I think if something happens to her he will soon go down hill. Both are in their late 90s married for 75 years and he still runs his law firm in South Dakota. I think; but can’t remember, it is the largest in the state. I am so sad about this and am really hoping I can see her next week, she was sleeping when I went to on them.
Use to question what I was suppose to do in life and now I am starting to figure it out, I think I am destine to work with seniors. I enjoy them and love listing to them so when I am finish with school I am definitely looking for a job at a senior living facilty

extra on the car

April 26th, 2008 at 03:10 am

Well I wasted $20 today, I went and got my hair touched up which normally cost $15 but of course my beautician did not have change. She never has change and I think she does it on purpose, I always let it go but when I go back I am going to remind her after she tells me what I owe and deduct the $5. But since I wasted money and bought breakfast today I am paying $22.40 on my car's principal, plus I got $3 from Pine cone so I am adding that amount as well. The goal is to pay as much down on the principal before I apply for the city’s first time buyer program. This is my new $20 challenge
On a different note I see Uncle Sam will be sending out those stimulus packages early next week, I will be putting mine in my EF, my new goal is to have at least $5000 put aside in the EF by the end of the year which hopefully if I a home owner will at least cover 2-3 month’s worth of expenses. So many things to save for a so little time
Week two and still no funds from my sis, I am keeping track to see how long it takes her before she says one word

Unexpected

April 25th, 2008 at 03:58 am

I did not expect for M to pay me back (my nephew) he owed me $15 and gave me $5. I thought about it and was not going to take it, but I said what the Hell he owes me and I want it. So since I did not expect it back I went ahead and added it to my challenge. My sister still has not said one word I and do not expect that money back anytime soon and she owes me way more than M. New total $5589.44

In addition, I started filling out the paper work to refinance my car hopefully I will get a much better rate than the 10% that I am paying. My credit is much better since I last applied for the loan and I have made all my payments in addition to extra way before the actual due date and since I have no CC debt things should be looking up
I also decided to pay an extra $100 every month on my car because at the end of the year I plan on applying for a home loan. The city has a program for first time home buyers in which you can get up to $50K and the developer I believe will match the funds, you can either use that money for a down payment and closing cost or for improvements. That will be nice because it will cover my 20% then that way I do not have to purchase PMI plus I will have a nice little saving
And since my computer crashed I have backed up my important files, school projects and my Money software...God if I lost that data, I would be pulling my hair out. thank goodness I did not lose anything

Darn it

April 23rd, 2008 at 11:19 pm

My computer crashed and now I will not be able to surf the net Frown until tomorrow. This will cost me easily $50+ My computer is like my life line I do not know what I am going to do. I am soooo mad. I have a class project that is due and this thing crashes. Well just thought I will post my fustration before I left work

Maybe it's just me

April 22nd, 2008 at 03:13 am

Maybe it's me but I thought this was gross. Today I am having lunch and my co-worker is complainging about her dog getting into things anyhow she is pulling dog hair out of her lunch and she continues to eat. Not one or two but a ton. When I have human hair in my food I think that is gross, maybe it is just me
On a different note I added $2 to my challenge today because I did not spend a thing

Adding to the challenge

April 21st, 2008 at 03:33 am

Added $15.52 to my challenge, I haven't been lately so now I have a new total of $5563.56. Now that I have gotten the CC's paid off I can start back adding money to my challenge. I was thinking in August I will apply for the first time home owner grant that the city is offering, upto $50k is being offered...keep your fingers crossed

Today is the day

April 20th, 2008 at 03:10 pm

My sister called and was upset because she did not have any money, she wasn't complaining to borrow but she was upset because she'll see my mom today and did not get her; well gave her any money for her birthday and she does not want to see her but she will and I know my mom she will definately ask for her entitled money. Anyhow we decided to go out for lunch and split her bill so for me that is a good thing, since the only money I have is to really pay for my tuition, which is almost $2k not including books. Plus I have to see the eye doctor ($225) plus get an oil change all in with in the next few weeks. So I am really pinching my pennies
Thinking back to my sister, it is sad because she never have any money, and I do mean litterly. She will not stop shopping and cut back on the hair appointments, which are tough for me as well but some times I just don't go.

Happy Passover

April 19th, 2008 at 04:18 pm

Just wanted to wish those of you who celebrate Passover a happy holiday

I knew it

April 19th, 2008 at 02:24 pm

Well Friday has come and gone and of course my sister did not pay me back and the funny thing is, I am not mad. Of course I knew she would not, I guess I am using this as leverage because as long as she owes me she won't ask to borrow any money and if by chance she gets the nerves I will simply remind her she owes me $100 already
On a different note, I just paid our water bill which was up by $3 and I do not know how since we are on water restrictions. But what can you do

Debt free again

April 18th, 2008 at 01:40 pm

Received m tax refund today and paid off the last cc of $580 Smile so I am debt free except for my car.Yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leave me alone

April 18th, 2008 at 02:51 am

My mom keeps bugging me.Today was her birthday and I wished her a happy birthday, but some kind of a way she is going to get the $20 that I normally spend for her birthday out of me
First she demanded that I give her money instead of taking her out to eat and I said no, now she wants to go out to eat. How come she can not understand that I do not have money to waste which includes eating out/gifts. Next month tuition is going to cost me about $1500, in addition to another $300 for my car insurance plus $200 to get my eyes checked...not to mention my books
My uncle gave her some money yesterday and she gave it back, and she's bugging me for $20 or so....just leave me alone

Finally

April 17th, 2008 at 07:53 pm

I finally got my refi papers for my car loan from the bank. I called them up today ranting and raving and I just checked the mailbox and there it was. Now I am confuse, I'll have to sit down this weekend and read over the paper work
Also the cop just came over to ask if I saw/heard anything because our neighbor's house was just broken into. Why is it that the quiet neighborhoods always have all the trouble? I would say 85% of the population is over 69 so why all the crime? I did not hear or see a thing, he said the alarm was going off; and I heard nothing...amazing.
I really don't have the money and wanted to pay off the cc, but I am buying a camera tomorrow

Payday

April 17th, 2008 at 07:06 pm

It really doesn’t seem like payday, all I did was pay bills. Paid off one of my cc's ($298) added $50 to my challenge and IRA accounts, and added an extra $30 to the EF and $10 to my miscellaneous saving account. Light bill was $98 this month, thank goodness, cable is still high and I am debating if I should turn off the house phone or not
I checked the IRS website and my tax refund should be deposited tomorrow, so I am paying off my last CC of $580, added to my EF so that I can meet my $1000 goal

What?

April 17th, 2008 at 03:34 am

I attempted to get my free credit report and was told I needed to pay unless I used the site annualcreditreport.com or something like that. I thought there was a law passed in which I can get my report for free, well in FL you must pay unless you use the designated site, in which you get all 3 at once and I did not want that. I wanted to obtain my report every three to 4 months from the big three but I will have to settle for one so I am waiting until June
Tomorrow I am calling the credit union ans raising you know what. I have called them 3 times for an application to refinance muyu car and have not received it as of yet...what is the problem?
Anyhow, I was able to get one of the last two seats for summer B for the accounting class, thank God
I just can't wait until this week/month is over

Just give me the money

April 16th, 2008 at 02:11 am

My mom is a piece of work, I heard my sister say once that if you only had $1 and she could get $.50 she would take it. Her birthday is Thursday and I usually take her out for breakfast or dinner, well this year I really don't have it. I just spent $300 on my car window and now tuition is due. So she says to me, "don't take me out for dinner just give me the money" I was sooo PO'd when she said this. Now mind you I have not seen a birthday card from her in years or a Christmas gift, but she always has her hand out. My sister and I split her cell phone bill every month and she still wants money. My brother who lost his job gave her $100 and she still took it knowing he is not working. And my uncle who is her brother who lives here may give her $300 and she gives him back $200 because he has daughter, well my brother has kids and a wife that passed away in addition he is not working. I just don't get her, she always has her hand out for money. I use to do this thing with her and would put $25 in a week and when it was my turn to get my draw/money she would automatically take her cut, some times I needed that money to pay my car note or rent when I was living on my own and because she would take it I would be short. I can't wait until I am out of here

Not much

April 15th, 2008 at 02:45 am

Not much going on today, went to work and it wasn't too bad because the boss was gone Smile and further more I wasn't that busy. Now I manange to get a little studying in,not nearly as much as I needed but I will get on the ball Wednesday
I also broke down and had my brows and chin waxed today...lol, I was trying to hold off but the chin hair was getting to be too much, even with the plucking.
Men, they have it made in the shade

She has started

April 14th, 2008 at 03:08 am

It has been a long time since my sister borrowed money and she called tonight to borrow $100. When she called it was close to 11 so I am sure it's something she just found out about(?) but I know one thing if I do not have my money on Friday like she promised I am going to be annoyed because I should knoe better

6 Bags

April 14th, 2008 at 02:02 am

Six bags later and my closet are not completely cleaned out, but it looks great.
I gave my friend’s daughter 4 bags full of clothes, my sister one and trashed another
And I was able to place several pairs of jeans in a draw vs. being on top of show boxes
In the next couple of weeks I plan on tacking the file cabinets, now that is going to be a job
